Amazing Potential Alien Characteristics—Do You Have a Favorite, Scariest, Most Fascinating, More I

I recently had what I considered a personal revelation. Should alien life truly be visiting our planet, wouldn’t there be an inexhaustible number of issues to contemplate and examine for our own good, many of which are not related to the obvious concession their technology is more advanced than ours? As in almost any interaction with others, it is imperative to know the person, or in this case “entity” in order to understand more about who or what you are dealing with.

So as a personal exercise I started a list of things I would be curious about if aliens were to announce themselves or become undeniable for whatever reason. I scared myself, laughed, pondered deeply, doubted myself, plus many, many more thoughts and reactions, but I found it an absolutely FASCINATING exercise trying to determine what I considered is possible, probable, realistic and best or worse case scenarios.

So here is my 15 minute compilation of attributes. You will think of many others, and probably much more important ones. Obviously in no particular order and I apologize for the lack of organization. Do you see any that you think are more important than the others or can you suggest some of your own for consideration?

If they are real, I want to understand them.
Do they have:
Individual personalities-- Potential level for variant psychological discrepancies
Humor
Anger
Compassion
Other emotions
Various integrated races?
Verbal language?
Different organs than we have for whatever?
100% use of their brains
Favorite food (hopefully not humans)
Machinery/technology
Have they surpassed our supposed “laws” of physics successfully
Found ways around the laws?
Writing/other forms of communication than we are familiar with
Evolution of their species?
Belief in creationism?
Could they even be a lower species on their world just looking for new experience?
Creativity, art, music, entertainment, concept of fiction?
Concept of bravery
Concept of respect (for other life forms, perhaps?)

Range of intelligence (Are their dumb ones as dumb as ours?)

Are you and your fellow extraterrestrials altruistic or malevolent?

How is life different on your planet?

Can I buy you a drink?

Will you come back tomorrow? I may have a few more questions...
