Here's what I don't get. Why can't the elite oligarchy who rule America and its military industrial complex just enjoy their lives from their ivory towers and have a party everyday with their big bank accounts and income from US taxpayers? Why the need for constant war and conflict?

They have bought into the lies from the "ET" critters--the fallen angel deceivers that they MUST reduce the global population to 200-500 million in order to 'save mankind' and the planet as habitable. That's a lie. They have the technology to make the deserts bloom and host a population on the world many tens of times what it is now. Yes. The elite are bothered that they are NOT killing enough humans. This is their goal. Ultimate control and enjoyment of their riches will come once we're gone.

Well with regarding the wars during the Cold War period it was the United States responding to a perceived threat of armed Communist invasions, and the people who were running foreign policy had taken the tact that doing nothing in the 30s in face of armed aggression lead to the horrible Second World War, and so moved to stop it. Other wars were fought similar political calculation or in the case of Iraq, a mixture of interests including a ambitious if failed nation building project to install Western culture into the Middle East.

As with regards to all the talks about how wars stimulate the economy and such, it doesn't sure military producers may make some money off it, but generally wars deterrent to economic growth, that's funds going into non productive stuff like tanks and jet planes. Wars are costly and destructive and screw with politicians plans, Nam cost so much it was one of the reasons why we went off the gold standard. Only reason why it worked in the World War 2 was a unique set of situations that probably will never occur again.

Or in other-words the theoretical oligarch in control of everything would make more money selling stuff to China or buying stuff in China and selling it in the US, than he would secretly and shadowy ordering the US Pacfic Fleet to blow up China.

Really good questions and as others have said, it isn't about money, it is about control.

At the very top of this pyramid, you could even argue the forces that play this world like a chess board are not even human- they see us as pawns in a game.

I can't tell you how or why it is happening, it just is.

Remember that we don't know who the elite are, we only know the puppets that serve them. Obama, Cameron, Hilary Clinton etc- they serve money- they sell us out for money and power to do the bidding of the elite.
