Planning for China's Collape

Many in the west have argued that China is on the rise. Others even want to go so far and say China is a superpower. None of that is true. China is going to fall and fall hard and the world must be ready. While it might not happen right away, China is on its way to serious hard times. There is 5 reasons why China will fall apart, and we can't deny them. I hope that people will realize soon their days of cheap shopping sprees at walmart are over...

China will only go down after a war, the world relies too heavily on their exports. Mandarin is the fastest spreading language at the moment.

I saw this documentary here not too long ago, about China. Oh the corruption - Well never the less, it seems that their economy is not that great after all, they simply just take the land from the farmers and pass it on to a few very rich men, but all in all China is not a rich country. This was told by one of the few Chinese men who dare speak out loud in China

China has been creating artificial growth. To prove this all you need to do is look up the Chinese ghost cities.

Yes, it is actually pretty scaring to see so large cities, without a living sold just stand there. Hell, move some of the poor from the slums to live there for free, its better than its just standing still.

I would assume that if they're building these cities, the rest of their infrastructure must be in good shape, no work to do on it.

Not really, some of the places in china has nothing but dirt roads and slums.

They should be doing their "make work" projects in those places first.
Fix the broken stuff before making new, empty cities.

I agree, but from what I seen on the documentary, the Chinese government is so corrupt that only the top 1000 riches people in the country matters, the just took away farmers land and gave it to some other rich men who have political friends - its really sad.

I read somewhere that the reason they build these ghost cities is because it is raising there GPD, but of cause the GPD is not correct when doing it like that. But it does not really matter to the government in China because all they care for is keeping the political power in check and don’t mind manipulating everything in order to do that.

I did some contract work for a company in Wu Han back earlier this year(I was state side) and I can tell you that they were not afraid to say that China's economy is not as powerful and mighty as the regime in charge wants the rest of the world to think it is.

Terrible working conditions, even worse wages. Basically slavery. Most factory workers stay on site in dormitories and can only leave for holidays and rare special occasions.

They make the equivalent of about $3.00 a day. How's that "I phone" feeling in you hand about now?

Vast areas of China are desert or mountainous and is basically unusable. That's part of the reason they were/are grabbing up land for agriculture everywhere they can get it.

I doubt they will collapse anytime soon but I think big changes are coming over there and that is just from the few months I worked with them.

It sounds like an ideal place to move to an Elite to in the event of SHTF, but in reality it's just creating jobs.

I really dont see why it should be about creating jobs ? Who will pay the salary ? And is the plan just to let the city crumble and then send in some renovators so they have something to do again?

Really? Seeing as how they were implicated in being instrumental in engineering it how could that be? Does not say much for the blog if they seriously believe that.

I don't think China is any more likely to collapse than the USA

China no doubt has a very hard road ahead. The difference between the rich modern costal cities and the rest of the poor backwards country is stark and will be a major problem down the road. The key to China's manufacturing is its cheap labor. As people want better wages and better lives other low wage nations will take away that part of its economy just at it leaves most modern nations and that will have to be replaced. Pollution and coruption will also prove to be large issues as it grows. It will be interesting to see if China comes out like another Japan or ends up like the Soviet Union.
