Hi all, this is the first time I make a thread so please be nice in answer and give it hundreds of flag

For the moderators: if it is wrong forum please move to the correct one

This is my story of a series of "strange" events.

In my presentation thread I said that I love horror movies, that's true, but it is even true that I cannot watch anymore a movie regarding Satan and possessions.

I will make this story as a list of event.

BACKGROUND: the beginning

All started with a movie I saw, "The exorcism of Emily Rose". The first time I saw it I was only an horror movies addicted, I watched other movies regarding possessions in past and this was only another one for me, that is what I thought.

I watched the film and found it a beatiful movie with impressive photography and roles well played by actors. After watched it I documented myself about her story, getting very impressed finding even registrations of her exorcism.

One year later, or maybe more, on TV passed again this movie, and I watched it again.

For those who doesn' t saw it I'll tell you that they play a lot on the fact that 3.00 AM are devil hours.

EVENT 1: here I felt the fear

Two days after watched again that movie I was sleeping when I woke up and heard a voice (it is not the first time but it is not a recurrent event, maybe are just dreams) saying "there should be a reason if you woke up now" and yes, I looked at my phone to check the time and it was 3.00 AM.

I got stuck to bed, I was scared to death, I started to pray (I don't usually pray, I'm not a strong believer).

I passed one entire our paralized in bed, trying to think about love, good things but I couldn't focus on them, like evil was trying to get control of my mind.

Finally at 4.15 AM I managed to move me and turned on the lights.

I can't describe this event with other words than fear. I have still now fear of 3 AM, when I go to bed at around 3 AM I start to have fear. It's not a joke.

EVENT 2: maybe suggestion, maybe not

One night I was in bathroom preparing to go to sleep. While brushing my theets I felt a strange air entering in my mouth. I felt chills on my skin and went to bed. There, before sleep, I manifested a kind of paralysis, cannot move me and I felt like somthing was trying to get control of my mind.

Don't know if it was only suggestion for the story above but I tried to mentally react, but this time not thinking about love, but only thinking like in a battle, trying to get control of enemy attack and push him away. I thought of taking his arm, pushing him out, far away. I finally reached my objective, mentally puttting him in a jail under the ocean.

EVENT 3: the dream

After that experience one night, months after this "battle", I had a strange dream. I can't remember the place, was like a temple but can't describe. I only have a flash of an old man telling to other people while pointing to me: "He won against him".

I know it was because of what happened to me the night I felt paralized.

This is my story, don't konw if it was only my imagination that create all these things or it is something bigger, the only thing I wanted by starting this thread was sharing my fearest story felt on my skin. Feel free to comment, maybe someone got similar experience and can tell me reason why all this happened, maybe someone can see things in my story that I can't see.

Thank you for the read.

PS: And sorry for possible grammars mistake in the story but I'm Italian

Demons have very little power. Sure they can do little things like maybe what you experienced but they're not to be feared. It's the paranormal of it all that you're fearing. There's nothing to be afraid of though. Demons are like mice scampering around. If you call on the name of Jesus you can command them to leave your house or you in Jesus name, and they have to leave. You said you weren't a strong believer, well if that hasn't changed your mind to something out there nothing will. And being a believer is all that's gonna work to get rid of and or protect you from this type of thing.

It isn't a matter of age, those movies doesn't relate necessarily to my story, I really don't think that movies are the true reason of what happened those nights...

The first event is what is commonly known as a psychosomatic experience. Because you had seen "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" and were focused on 3 am, your body and mind naturally woke you up during these times. Similarly, if you tell yourself, as you're going to sleep, that you want to wake up at a certain time - lo and behold, you will wake up within 10 minutes of that time.

The voice you heard is what is commonly known as hypnogogia, or hallucinations experienced between states of sleep and waking. These hallucinations can come in the form of sounds (like voices calling your name, or soft music playing somewhere near by), or as visuals (like a black figure at the foot of your bed). They are, for the most part, harmless experience; nothing to be worried about.

The second event is what is commonly known as sleep paralysis. This occurs due to a number of reasons, ranging from the position you sleep in, to prematurely waking from a deep-sleep state, to neurological problems, and is even sometimes hereditary, inherited from other family members. The inability to move, loss of breath or forced breathing, and even the panicked sensation of fear are all symptoms of sleep paralysis.

Sleep paralysis, like the auditory hallucination, is an element of hypnogogia. I would talk with your physician. I do not know of many cases where these experiences turned into a serious medical condition, but I do know it is possible.

The dream, unfortunately, was just that: a dream; nothing more.

Best of luck,

I have been suffering from OCD and anxiety for over 40 years now and can tell you that the OP is showing clear signs of this too. It doesn't matter what it is, in this instance it was the movie bringing on irrational fear but it can be anything, from a horrible illness you have just read about to reminiscence about previous things you have done that come to haunt you [irrationally].
It isn't a demon, it is a manageable condition that is very horrible to have.

Everything the OP wrote about is familiar to me. There is nothing supernatural. When he thought that a strange 'air' entered during brushing teeth...hey I had exactly the same but in a different context.
What follows is a rush of adrenaline because all our focus is suddenly on something that others wouldn't even notice.
The adrenaline then can lead to a full blown panic attack, which manifests itself by shallow and rapid breathing, elevated heart rate, numbness of extremities and yes the inability to move. I have lain on the floor not able to move at all, believing that I had a stroke and a heart attack all at once...but of course I didn't.

If it isn't a demon, then it will be something else. That is why I hate 'Cognitive Behavioural Therapy'. They may get rid of one of your fears but the brain can be quite an a-hole and will always find something else for you to fear even if you have never thought of it before.

OP, go see a doctor. It is nothing to be ashamed of but it can help with your fear. Trust me I have suffered so much and would not want to see someone else to have to go through it.
No demons here apart from an excess of serotonin in OP's brain.

If you need any advice I'll be happy to receive Op's PM.

I know that knowing someone else has similar experience helps already. Just to also add, my mum suffered in later years from anxiety and she sometimes couldn't even look at some news readers because their faces and eyes looked 'evil' to her. She was an agnostic but I thought it might show you that even small normal things can be misread when your brain is on a 'bender'.
Good luck.

That's all it sounds like to me as well. I'm surprised that no one thought of it sooner. Sure, it can be terrifying, but it's a natural occurrence.

The posters above obviously have never seen a demon, or they would be saying well done for beating him.
A quicker shortcut is to use the Name of Jesus and tell them to be bound and to go back to the pit till the appointed time. They hate that.

Oh yes the appointed time is actually very soon, as it is 70 generations after Noah complained about them.

In one of Jaques Vallee books he mentions a man who was paralysed by a ray coming from a being outside of a saucer. This person was just walking around, not asleep or in bed. So I don't buy it was just a normal occurrence. And this paralysed man was able to get free by holding an iron door key and his anger and adrenaline. So touching iron can help get your body free.

SInce 6th November the world has turned on anyone, who believes differently from the programmed masses- Borg Noosphere is getting stronger.

I too am scared of 3.15am, as 4 people beamed in to kill me and my family. It was going to be a murder/suicide.
No solution for that fear I'm sorry.

Make sure Jesus is your friend or you get to stay here for a little longer.

Are you for real? It is idiotic ramblings like that that makes people with certain mental problems have panic attacks. I don't find it amusing that you post stuff like that on a thread like this. You are just enjoying others fear and are trying to make the OP more worried. That in my book is real EVIL. I am so angry that if I would say what I really wanted to say, this post would be deleted.

To OP, do NOT believe this bible troll poster.
And even if demons existed, they weren't always what the manmade bible makes them out to be. They used to be called Daemons and were teaching humans great knowledge, they were mentors and teachers. Of course knowledge is the death of oppression so the bible changed them into the bad guys.

Fight the evil. If you don't you'll end up like me, a slave to the dark side. I didn't fight hard enough and now I can't break free.

It's anxiety. Trust me. I developed a phobia of demons after i watched the movie "The Devil Inside." I do not believe in religion that much, but i was scared ****less! My symptoms were pure anxiety. Dilated pupils (a symptom of "possession), Light headed, feeling like you're losing control. These are supposedly all symptoms of "Demonic Possession," which was what got me scared. Also, when you're scared you think about it more which allows you too pick out more creaks and cracks. Also you are more sensitive. So don't worry, just ignore those kind of things and think of it in a logical way. Also, stay away from horror movies for awhile, they might revive those fears again. Hope this helps!

This post makes so much sense. I feel better that we actually have people who think more logically than just point to religion right away.

The first time I watched exercism of emily rose I woke up around 3 AM as well.. I was paralyzed in bed and couldn't move. I felt like something was there with me... I prayed and it went away and I could move again.

I don't know why this happened, but maybe the movie freaked me out a little too much?... the mind is a powerful thing sometimes.

I think what happened was that something about the movie inspired you. I was taking an english class and we had to do fast writes about items the teacher brought in. He brought in a Buddhist praying wheel, He was explaining what the object was and that I think he said people would put either names or prayers on slips of paper into the wheel. Well my mind took off and I ended up writing about a 20 page horror story about that item. But what happened is that I forgot about the item and was sleeping, My mind kept working and thinking about that object and I ended up having a nightmare which was aweome but I think you had something similar kind of happen.
