You know, if you wanted an iPhone, you could have gone to AT&T, buy your service plan, got a new 4g or 4s, and only paid 1 dollar for the phoe with a
2year contract.
I am on my second iPhone, first one was stolen when I was in Atlantic city in sept 2013. The carrier immediately blocked the emei code, chances are,
you have a stolen phone.
For more than one reason, I will not enter into contract with any carrier.
It's not really "free" when you have to commit to a 2-3 year term which will end up costing you thousands of dollars.
I only do pay as you go. Sure over the same time span you'll end up spending a similar amount, but with an unlocked phone on pay as you go you're
never locked in to one carrier and can switch/shut down any time you want with no "penalty"
UPDATE: I was able to solve the horrendously irritating iTunes "error 3194"
The error apparently is caused by a communication interruption between you and Apple.
What worked for me was this: (I use Windows)
Control Panel/Internet Options(Properties)/Advanced/-> scroll down to Security and make sure "check for server certificate verification" is
UNCHECKED
reboot
No more 3194 error and I was able to do a full restore on my phone. I did a restore as new device and with iOS 6.
It didn't solve my network connect problem however... but I will update the title of this thread to reflect that I have found a way to eliminate the
3194 error in case anyone surfing the web is looking for a solution.
...next!
Will pop open phone tomorrow and physically examine antenna connection....
ps. IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THE MODS RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST TO ALTER THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD TO BETTER REFLECT THE CONTENT WITH RESPECT TO
SOLUTIONS CONTAINED WITHIN
WTH is up with the 4hour time limit on editing the title of your own thread? I have never come across anything like that anywhere else on the net,
ever.
