There was no need to kill the animal. There is never any need to kill any animal unless a) you intend eating it or b) you fear your life is in danger....

Now, please don't try telling me that guy feared for his life?! He could have knocked it out and caged it... But no...!!! Zero respect in the world for animals these days, end of story.

I take it you've never been attacked by an animal of that size. Let me tell you, there's no "knocking it out". It's unfortunate, but sometimes you just have to kill a small aggressive animal. If you don't think an animal like that is capable of killing a grown human being, I don't know what to tell you, other than that you are being naive.
