Star Citizen - A New Gaming Experience

Game developer Chris Roberts, the creator of the original Wing Commander series, is back with a very ambitious project called Star Citizen. The game is currently being completely funded by public Crowd Funding on the website, cutting out the politics of big publishers, and has already raised several million dollars. No subscriptions, no pay to win (F2P model) the idea is a game by the people for the people.

What makes this project stand out is the depth of realism in the engineering, physics and overall gameplay system and the scale of the universe the developers are intending to incorporate into the game, and that the player models, ships, worlds etc. are being submitted by the donors.

You mean Jumpgate Evolution. I hope it doesn't die, Star Citizen looks like it actually has a competent development team and no publisher politics, which is what drove Jumpgate into the ground. Alpha is suppose to begin early next year.
