Graves dating back to 3000 BC discovered

Ancient graves dating back to 3000 BC have been discovered by chance during excavations carried out by a company involved in laying pipelines for Al Massarrat water project in the wilayat of Yanqul recently, a local Arabic newspaper reported yesterday. Burial customs of Samad era include burying the dead with all personal belongings including potteries, metal items, swords, daggers and sometimes even pieces of meat for use in afterlife.
