A What are you planning on doing in Heaven, forever?

FIRST - I am going to find my husband there and kick his b*tt for leaving me so early.
Then - I am going to tell him all of the things I wish I would have said more while he was here.

Then - I am going to find his mom, and my grandmothers and grandfathers and some others, and I am going to tell them all of the things I wish I would have said more while they were here.

Then - I am going to spend the rest of the time trying to watch over those I left behind, who hopefully I remembered to, and found time to, tell them everything I wanted to tell them before I left.

And in between - some of the answer to D below.

B

Not answering B. It's too sad and scary and I don't want to even think about it.

C Is morality still needed in Heaven? Are you allowed to have slaves in Heaven?

Yes.
NO.

D In Heaven, am I able to look at the history of this Universe? Where would this Theater be in Heaven? Do I have to share it with others?

I sure hope so.
Everywhere, as in perhaps being able to relive and experience history as we wish?
I hope so. What good would eternity be without sharing it with others, both loved ones and so many other interesting people?

That is really an interesting question. I asked my mom what she though heaven was like. She said that people sit around and sing songs. Who knows maybe she is right...
As for me I have no idea what happens. As a matter of fact I'm not even sure that's where I'll go when I die. Sometimes I think that when our souls leave our body we travel into the universe, past that I don't know.

##SNIPPED##
Seriously though, my son says he doesnt want to be alive in eternity. I try to explain to him that it wont be like day to day eternity. You will just be !! no time always in the now. what you want will be. All the answers. Also i think you get to instill faith in the ones that are in human form. Come through dreams and coincidences. Im looking forward to it. I truly believe that this world is a dream and when we die we are really born into reality.

Heaven is a place that our human brains can't think about. You can dream about it but it'll never come close. The same goes for Hell.

Well, at least on the "can you go visit someone in hell" -

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence" (Luke 16:19-26).

So, no.

However, in the apocalypse of Peter, Peter was told by Jesus that no one stays in Hell for eternity, so in time Hell will be emptied out.

TextB Let's say Jill, a mother who did good things and is in Heaven, wants to see her son, John, a bad person who is in hell. Is Jill allowed to see John? What does this meeting take place? Is it like visiting someone in Prison? If you don't believe in Hell, than the question would be; Does Jill even get to see her son John?

@ Confusion42

There is no quick answer to your questions. All of your questions are of great interest to any Christian but unfortunately Christianity has many different beliefs and hundreds of doctrines. There is the matter of bibles as well as denominations who all claim they are correct and everyone else is wrong.

In your question of whether Jill can visit her son John? My opinion is No, Jill can never see or talk to John again. There are some Christians who believe that John is being purged from sin and will eventually be with his mother again but I see nothing in my source to verify that. Before Jesus was murdered and New Jerusalem was introduced, Hell and Abraham's Bosom were both centered in the earth. The account of Lazarus and the rich man tells us that both places were centered so as each could talk to the other but since Abraham's Bosom is now resurrected into the New Jerusalem that is no longer possible.

TextC Is morality still needed in Heaven? Are you allowed to have slaves in Heaven?

Lucifer was in heaven and sinned, so by that measure I would say yes you have rules and regulations in New Jerusalem. Rev. tells us that if we obey the commandments of God that we will be allowed to enter into New Jerusalem and live forever. -- As far as slaves are concerned, I would think not, although the bible does say that in the thousand years reign of Christ that He will have servants. I take that as to mean His government will have saints to serve His rules and regulations.

TextD In Heaven, am I able to look at the history of this Universe? Where would this Theater be in Heaven? Do I have to share it with others?

My own opinion ? Don't know any more than you do but I believe that with all eternity before us that we will always be learning. I do believe that there will be schools of some kind or schooling of some sort but really can't answer that with any bible knowledge.
Have a good day

I'm not going to heaven, I heard they don't have coffee there. I guess I'm stuck here till I start to dislike coffee.

Heaven is important but it is not the end of the world.

As I understand it 'heaven' is R&R for spirits of the deceased...
...but we get returned to new bodies and will live on a new earth...
...without having to live with death and the evil intent of other people/powers.

Imagine the best of what it is to be human without the bad stuff.

If there is a Heaven I imagine the things to do there are beyond our Earthly comprehensions. If Heaven is just like Earth, but lasting forever, that would be pretty disappointing.

Why on earth (lol) would I plan on what I'm going to do after life?
Isn't that what actual life is about...setting goals and making plans?

While in "heaven", I will do whatever I do.

Evermore newness, at the rate you can tolerate, coupled with expansion of consciousness to contain it will keep you busy. A finite transcending into an infinite requires eternity to complete.

From what I have heard concerning heaven, I would equate it to my being in a utopian socialistic enviroment. No worries about anything. Do your part and everything is taken care of. Everyone contributes according to their strengths and lives happily ever after.

Or does heaven operate without any contribuition from the souls which reside there? Does God just wave a wand and everything is taken care of, kinda like the governments spending unlimited funds on welfare? If so I would just spend my days in heaven playing golf, lounging at the pool, visiting friends, and other souls, etc God could be a part of my foursome any day.

"Where" it is really has little meaning. "Where" is Heaven? We can't even answer that.

The Holy Bible says Heaven is on Earth. I'm just saying.

Umm (looking around) I don't see it. And it doesn't much matter what the Holy Bible says. Really.

Precisely. "Setting goals and making plans" implies you are looking to the future. Some people look a little further afield than others.

^^about that^^
Lucifer was an angel, not of mankind, so his fate would be different than say a mortal man's.
And anyway...his real name was Michael, an angel who was an architect of light...therefore...the word Lucifer means "bearer of light" and a lucifer is a noun anyway...not a name, and unfortunely, the word lucifer brings on negative connotations.

The Statue of Liberty is technically considered a lucifer...a bearer of light, and when you hear that someone follows a Luciferian way of life simply means that they are interested in making their lives more fulfilling and bringing more lightness into the world.

Funny how words can change over time by an overbearing society. Not to mention, the Illuminati...the "Enlightened Ones"...who says that the illuminati is against us anyway? Perhaps there should be a new way of looking at things.

1. Army Basic Training - One of my favorite times of my life
2. Meeting my daughter for the first time
3. Holding my son for the first time

The Lord will have plans for me, so I shall not be making any of my own.

I will take a 100 year nap with no interruptions, and when I wake up I will drink the perfect cup of coffee that never gets empty and never gets cold while the most talented masseuse in Heaven massages my feet.

Hello ATS,

I was pondering religious elements of religion, and decided to pose a simple question here.

To the people who subscribe to a religion and believe in any type of Heaven:

A What are you planning on doing in Heaven, forever?

B Let's say Jill, a mother who did good things and is in Heaven, wants to see her son, John, a bad person who is in hell. Is Jill allowed to see John? What does this meeting take place? Is it like visiting someone in Prison?
If you don't believe in Hell, than the question would be; Does Jill even get to see her son John?

C Is morality still needed in Heaven? Are you allowed to have slaves in Heaven?

D In Heaven, am I able to look at the history of this Universe? Where would this Theater be in Heaven? Do I have to share it with others?

Looking forward to interesting responses. Keep it civil.

* - (Assuming Heaven exists)

A. Adventure and stuff.

B. Interesting question. I don't know. Though, I'm personally not sure Hell it eternal anyway.

C. Morals are morals no matter where you are.

D. I imagine you would.
