So I have just been playing assassins creed 3..at the end of the game you do this level where basically you just watch the ships sail away. The character then turns around and focuses on a podium..on it is a black man and woman and another man. The other man puts the black mans hand in the air like a cheer.

Now this wouldn't be that weird if it was part of the story..however after that happens there is literally nothing else to do on that level. It doesn't tell you anything as to why it focuses in on them, and you cannot interact with them. The only thing you can do is walk away.

I'm guessing it was to do with black slavery being abolished but slavery wasn't abolished until 1820 in the US, the game is set in the 1700's.

Watch the video of it:

that is a slave being sold. It has a lot to do with the story because he was fighting with the americans hoping that once they were free from the british, all people would become equal. This scene is a realization to connor that no matter who is in charge, there wont be true freedom. And thats what he fights for.
.....
Nothing to do with Obama

That's a bit contrived don't you think?

Are you just trying to let people know you beat the game or something? Way to go...?

Slavery was abolished in 1820? No, it was abolished on December 6, 1865 when the 13th amendment was ratified. Anyway, I agree, this has nothing to do with Obama

The scene was of slaves being sold. But it was more than that, during the game you play as a native american and is trying to make sure your tribe is protected. So it comes as here is this guy who is a hero to the colonists and fought for their freedom but he will not get his own.
