I had the weirdest dream. It might have been caused by the red wine I enjoyed, but anyways, I recall someone teaching me if dreams are told they won't come true, so I have to post this one.

It started with me playing an old legendary game The New Zealand Story on my Amiga 500. I was kind of in my childhood. In front of me I recall some sort of beverage called 'triple shakeout'. A scale ran vertically on the mug, it had three points marked on it. 5.8, 6.7 and 7.6. I must have been to a fast food restaurant because next to the beverage there was another cup which stated 'Vanilla-Fidge-To go. Yes, it read Fidge, not Fudge. In the game I was somehow stuck between levels 2-6 and 2-7. I do not even remember if the game has levels like that...

Everything else is kind of blurry but these things I remember very accurately. And I didn't even 'connect the dots' until I read about the Alaskan earthquake and somehow started to see the pattern. The Fidge-Fudge spelling was the giveaway.

With these being said it hopefully won't happen.

Never had dreams like this one. So out of context. Yet so clear afterwards. Usually I tend to forget my dreams very rapidly.

Well, only thing to do is apply the scientific method; wait for the date and see if your prediction holds true.

As I said somewhere else today Vanuatu is very probably overdue for another Mag 7 after the Feb one early this year. This sort of pattern would be nothing unusual for Vanuatu.

It will be interesting to see if this occurs on those dates, but occur they will of that you can be sure. Just a matter of the timing. Remember that last bracketed Mag 6 tucked in between 3 Mag 7s?

Yes. It will sure happen, just like you said, a matter of timing. Yesterday I had to dig a bit on the subject and I noticed that a full moon is approaching (29.11). And while there always has been this assumption of the moon and tides having to do with earthquakes, I will wait with horror. I also noticed that the tidal pattern is 'distorted' those two days the night having one low tide while the day is having three.

Interesting coincidence.

So the date is nearly here. The region has been quite quiet for the last month. Here is a chart of the last 30 days with events over 5.0.

there has already been a forecast for quake activity in the next couple days
So, your dream just might come true.

There has? Got any source for me? I just saw a thread about a CME heading our way... Seems to be hitting the same time frame.

So the marked day is here... is this where it begins?

I guess that now we have had our daily portion of quakes. There has been about 3-4 near 5 magnitude quakes daily in that region.

Yea, Patrick Geryl has been calling for a big (7.5+) quake on 11/28 +/- for months now. His recent prediction accuracy has been scary. He's hit over 10 in a row.

There's nothing new to that, they are hot beds for regular EQKs so don't worry about your "dream" as being a prediction.....IT'S COMMON PLACE in Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga and PNG region!

He's not able to say where based on the prediction system he's developing. He's only able to give 2-3 day windows and approximate intensities.

Wouldn't call that predicting myself. More of estimated guessing. Thou, everything that helps forecasting major events is for a better tomorrow.

11-29-12 a 5.4 and a 4.8 just hit Tonga within 2 hours. I would say you were pretty close. Plus a 4.8 in Tadine which is close by.

Naah. Those kind of quakes are usual in that area. Almost every day... So I wasn't close.
