I can speculate a bit for you. Just suppose that we had said super high tech. antigravity/free energy stuff, but releasing that to the public would allow Joe Smith to assemble a nuclear bomb in his back yard, and provide him with an anti-gravity delivery system.

Do you think we would have a stable society in such a situation, with our moral constraints being tossed out the window? Post-christian modernism is inconsistent with the responsibility that the next generation technology entails. That's one reason why this world is slated for the trash heap. It's unsustainable.

When the Lord returns only his people will inhabit the paradise that is to come.
