I had this dream 2 months ago. I wanted to see if I had it again before I decided to share.

I did not see a date or time; there were no clocks to reference.

I have been dealing with many changes in my life and sometimes they manifest in our dreams. I have had prophetic dreams that have come true before. Usually, if the dream occurs more than one time, for me, it is because of my state of mind and certain things happening in my every day life; until the issue is resolved. Not exactly the same, but variations of the same theme.

This dream seemed very real. As if I was living it. Still not sure past or future. My instincts tell me future.

I am on a cliff, in a field, near a tree, overlooking the sand and water of the beach and ocean. It seems to be mid afternoon and the Sun is just reaching the 30 degree point of the horizon. Cloudy day, but still partly sunny. I am watching the waves and meditating, when I notice several red spots, in my field of view, coming from the direction of the Sun. At first I thought I was seeing things, but they got closer and bigger, finally one of them hit the ocean what seemed like at least 300 hundred miles away. Then another and another and another, each getting closer. The waves started to increase in size exponentially with each crash of a fire ball. I was caught off guard when a wave came towards the cliff I was standing on, at the last moment I grabbed the bottom of the tree and hung on for dear life. The waves subsided long enough for me to let go of tree and run as fast as I could in the direction of my house.

Every where I looked people were walking around dazed and confused, some houses got washed away and some were on fire, but the whole place was a disaster area. Cars every where turned over, on fire, I was trying to get to my house to make sure my family was okay. I had to stop and help people on the way, but I got to where my house was supposed to be...it was moved down the street by the surge of water. My family was okay, they were all on the roof in case the water returned.

Then I woke up and wrote it down.

Prophetic or not, when I woke up I was shaking from the experience and was sweating profusely...was cold in the bedroom. I wasn't sick. I have not had the dream again. I damn sure hope it wasn't prophetic.

What happens with any earthquake, volcano or meteor, usually has no warning.

I have been wanting to tell as many people as I can to take care and much love.

Every one wants to believe their horrible dream is a phrophecy...I read it all the time on ATS...and I'm not sure why? ..maybe it's the " I told you so syndrome..." ..I'm not trying to be mean, but your dream sounds like a cross between hurricane sandy, some of the movies that are out now, and personal drama.I do not think its a phrophecy...a bad dream yes , but I wouldn't dwell on it. ..sorry. ..I've had lots of dreams about nukes, and tornados, and aliens my whole life..and to this day I've never seen any of those things!

Very interesting dream. I can't remember my dreams very often.

Thanks for sharing.

Edit- my grandma and aunt have prophetic dreams sometimes.

Hopefully you won't have this dream again.

Its the dreams that don't reoccur that are prophetic for me. The fact this one has not occurred again is what has me concerned.

I don't want to believe it is because I dreamed it, I believe it because it was different and very real. Funny how you are so quick to dismiss it. This happened 2 months ago. Had nothing to do with Sandy. I did not say it was prophetic, I said usually when I have dreams like this they turn out to be true.

Hmm that's interesting. My grandmas dreams are usually two times then it comes true. Then my aunt has a dream just once and it comes true.

I think this is a very interesting subject and am going to look into it more.

Thanks again for sharing, hopefully this dream will not be prophetic.

Thank you. Dreams happen in a different reality where past, present and future have no time constraints. I can usually tell based on different aspects. I may have dreams where I mix fantasy with reality, but I usually know why. This dream had the aspects of reality that do not occur in any fantasies I have and I don't spend my days focusing on these type of scenarios. I believe my higher power was giving me a heads up. This doesn't have anything to do with 2012 doomsday. I was spiritual before this so its not an awakening. I get information from my higher power all the time. I am not predicting anything. Just sharing.

Take care and much love.

Thank you for sharing.

What came to my mind is the remote viewers prediction of an asteroid or something all over earth making huge tidal surges inland and people losing everything.

Farsight Institute Link

In general, these remote-viewing data suggest the following types of physical changes across many of the above geographical locations by mid-2013: Impacts from what appear to be large meteors leading to tsunamis and possible volcanism Extensive and forceful flooding of coastal areas Excessive solar radiation Storms and other severe weather In terms of the effects of these changes on humans, these data also suggest: Massive self-organized relocation from coastal areas (refugees) The breakdown of rescue or other notable governmental functioning The breakdown of the food supply system The breakdown of the vehicular transport system Extensive loss of buildings near coasts

I wouldn't worry too much but your dream IS interesting. Our planet is currently going through a field of debris from comet Encke and are called Taurid Fireballs. These are tiny, stone-sized meteorites that you should be able to see at late night to early morning through November 12. They will look like shooting stars.

Well...maybe it was a vision from a past life...have you thought about that? Does any of the surroundings in your dream match where you are now? ..if not..then perhaps it was from a past life ...otherwise, it's just a dream.

Your vision could be of the coming galactic alignment. Our planet is approaching the most metor dense part of our galaxy. An increase in meteor sightings is already taking place. Watch the skies.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've had a shaking, sweating, prophetic post-apocalyptic dream scenario that hasn't come true. If they do, I'll eat my dollar-bill salad with penny garnish.

Dreams can be harrowing, lifelike experiences. But at the end of the dream, it's just something YOU created. I personally believe dreams are more akin to lucid control-and-create type dreams; it's that we don't always reach that level of awareness to have a lucid dream. So, we act as the observer instead of creator; we get lost in our own creation (the dream) and believe it's coming from some prophetic, mysterious source. I think it's still our own dream creation as it is in a lucid dream; we have just separated our awareness into different roles (e.g. the observer.) You were observing your own creation.

Remember, you only impose a small fraction of your will on creation with 7 billion other people (at least on this planet anyway.)

I admit, I have had 'prophetic' dreams before too..even some similar to the one described in the OP. Some involved UFOs. Some involved a total worldwide blackout. Scary stuff that still gives me chills! I have even had plenty of dreams that have seem to come true in every sense of detail. But the thing is, are dreams ALWAYS reliable? 100% of the time? No, they're not. Or the cosmos would have been razed and defiled a hundred thousand times over.

I like dreams. I love having them. They're usually much more interesting than my waking life. And I believe the dream state is just as valid as the waking reality. The problem is that they don't intermingle very much. One dream does not cancel out the dreams of 7 billion other people. Each of us casts a vote on reality's direction. I vote no doom and gloom no matter how many dreams I have of it.

In my opinion, dreams are much more than "figments" of our imagination. This is not to say we do not have fantasy that manifest in our dreams from time to time; I believe my higher power gives me information. Either I choose to pay attention or I ignore it; most times I pay attention because it benefits me. I used to test it and find out the information was right after all.

This particular dream, was not a predictive dream. To me there is a difference between predictive and prophetic:

predictive (prɪˈdɪktɪv) — adj 1. of, relating to, or making predictions

prophetic (prəˈfɛtɪk) — adj 1. of or relating to a prophet or prophecy 2. containing or of the nature of a prophecy; predictive

Prophetic can be predictive; predictive is not always prophetic.

I damn sure hope it wasn't prophetic.

I was given information for my benefit; I chose to share it. You are entitled to your opinion.

Take care and much love,

I really don't like visiting the dreams and predictions forum. I don't believe any true prophets would be posting on ATS.

I used to have disaster dreams all the time. I used to think they could be prophetic or warnings too. But, then I had so many of them that I realized it wasn't a message at all, but just some movie-fantasy I wanted to experience haha. And that's all dreams are really, movies where we get to play the director and the lead actor.

I even saw a vague warning about a disaster in Japan about a month before Fukushima happened. Except in my dream it was some kind of eruption like a volcano instead of nuclear reactor. I could see people floating in the ocean gasping for help. I even heard a disembodied voice say, "This will change humanity in a way like never before." Wow, sounds exciting and promising! But, I'm still waiting for it to happen.

Dreams are not 100% dependable or 100% accurate. They are a beautiful mystery of life to be sure! But, I don't think any disaster prophecies come from dreams.

We have to remember, dreams are just an altered state of consciousness. Could I have a prophetic dream while tripping on some cough syrup? Or would that be dismissed as an 'altered state of consciousness'?

I have heard and seen some interesting things during meditation too--another altered state. But, I still can't invest all my faith into what I see and hear.

I'd probably have a thread every single day if I wrote about my dreams and experiences during meditation.

I'm not saying it's impossible to have prophetic dreams as warnings and omens. But, I'm saying there is a lot of trickery involved. When we are awake we function mostly based on logic and rationale. When we dream, there is no logic or rationale; we function on pure emotion!

It is difficult to accurately translate a purely emotional experience into the world of logic. On the other hand--I believe that emotion is a truer form of communication than our logic and flawed words :-)

But, we are still learning how to speak that language of emotion, I think. What we dream and experience emotionally does not always translate into words and events in the waking world of logic.

It's like trying to translate English to Japanese to Hopi and then back to English. It's not going to be 100% accurate hehe!

Okay, I will stay away from the dreams forum now that I've spoken my personal belief on it.

Never said I was a prophet. Seems you are intent in your mistaking this. Instead of trying to change my opinion about what I experienced why don't you just comment on the content?

Trees are symbolic for strength, protection and stability in dreams.
I think this is why he grabbed on to the tree in his "dream". There is a lot of symbolism in this dream.
