Hello everyone.

I see a lot of really angry people here talking about the death of America. That makes me really sad. I'm Canadian but I have lots of American friends and I'm sad to hear that you all are being taken over by a dictator that has systematically been taking away all your freedoms and rights ever since he got his dirty paws on your country.

But I want to give you all the opportunity to speak your mind! Let it all out!

What freedoms have YOU personally lost since Obama took over?

I know there are probably too many to list so please keep the list to a top 3, just in the interest of keeping things simple.

I have gained the freedom to pay money I dont have ( obamacare fine for not having insurance) for being to poor to purchase healthcare.

I no longer have a right to habeus corpus, as they can detain me indefinitely without any charges or trial or representation.

I can no longer travel, and be safe from unlawful searches and seizures, as the TSA now has the "right" to strip search me, because all Americans are terrorists, until strip searched and molested otherwise.

You only wanted 3, too bad, I had a list of about 30 things I would have really liked to mention.

We have been losing freedoms long before Obama became president, the ball really got rolling after 9/11. Clinton and Bush should be in this list too and I bet some will pin freedoms lost during those years on Obama anyway.

Of course I am not saying losing freedoms is just or right, Just that Obama is the latest scapegoat ...

Im willing to bet about 25 of the 30 "lost freedoms' you described, occurred under the Patriot Act.
Under Bush.

I think the problem most have with big O, is that he was supposed to fix all of these things, as he stated in his campaign speeches.

Instead he has accelerated them, and gone leaps and bounds farther.

You cant blame his predecessors, for his failings an longer, this IS his baby. About time he starts to take responsibility for it.

All I know is that ATS, Canadians ad liberals in general were constantly going on and on about freedoms we were losing, but suddenly that's all changed. Even though all the same policies are in place. plus more like the NDA.

Explain your inconsistent outrage.

I haven't lost any freedoms personally.

Obama has actually had a positive impact on my life. As a young adult I now get to stay on my mothers insurance (that she pays for, so no, it is not a gov handout) since healthcare reform was passed. I have to buy prescription medication monthly and would not be able to afford it without private medical insurance. My household makes too much money to qualify for state insurance like medicaid.

And he lowered student loan interest rates.

All of us are experiencing deprivation of rights under colors of the law. US Code specifies that no law can be enacted that causes any person representing colors of the law to violate the Constitution and its intentions toward human rights. Section 242, Title 18 of US Code specifies imprisonment and/or death for anyone representing the colors of the law that violates the intent of the constitution concerning rights. Anyone who wears the colors of the law, who follows the recent laws passed by Edict of the emperor is in violation. When the President decided to pass a law saying he can kill an American citizen or imprison without trial, he (And Congress) is in direct violation of US Code. We are all affected by one man and the tyranny that follows the liars and thieves as they make choices. Those wearing the colors are obligated to serve justice on all who passed these laws. This one bit of US Code obligates them to protect us from the ones that passed the laws.

Exactly, the economy was doing great until mr. Obbambalamo came around.

The first month he came into office the economy went bad from gayning 750,000

with Bush, to losing all them jobs to the socialisms.

When they finish counting the votes Romney will prevail.

God couldn't fix the mess mostly created during the Bush era - - in 4 years.

Then the Republican Congress acted like spoiled toddlers saying: "I'm not playing with you unless you do it my way".

As far as I can tell, no one has so far been able to list any freedoms they have lost. Maybe more time is needed? Or maybe they haven't lost any at all?

Yeah let's be anal. The answers May not be a "freedom" persay but obviously people are listing ways they have been personally affected by Obama, Bush, etc.

The right to not be unlawfully detained has been posted many times. Not sure how you can miss that.

I lost the freedom to create $10 of loans out of $1.

No wait a second, it is the banks that are free to do this, and they haven't lost that freedom either.

The freedom to come to the ATS "New Topics" page and not see it bloody smothered with politics!!!

Now I know the dust is just settling but I don't know how the hell you guys can put up with it - it's like you have political OCD.

Build a bridge and get over it.

Its done...........you know - spilt milk and all!

PLEASE don't tell me the international community has to put up with this for another 4 years.

There is not one topic raised on the aforementioned page that cannot be added to an existing ATS political MADNESS thread - not one.

OK thats better, venting complete, I will return to under my rock

Like many others here, I will decline to play this particular game for about the 50th time. We are not responsible for your not being able to look beyond your own narrow interests and see the occupation.

I've said many times that there are people who welcome and benefit from a police state. So have fun with it--until it's you or your own family trying to bear up under the boot....
