Tonight I saw a simple light, a pin-prick in the sky,
But yet it danced, and laughed, and loved, then finally it died,
Yet this I Wonder, was it so, for did it really pass?
Or might thou flee from our dear Sun, who burns you as he laughs?
The moon and stars, the planets dear, the bodies of this place,
With comets and their long bright tails the cats and dogs of space,
So dark and cold when you must enter, but not so from afar,
From worlds when the sun may sleep their eyes become our stars.
And every night, to every day, as clockwork they are roused,
For when our sun decides to wake the stars must flee their house,
This jealous one, our burning sun, does never want to hear,
How wonderful and awed we are by the night time sky this year.
A narcicisstic burning mind, whos mirror is our waves,
Who sits upon his morning throne to bring us forth our days,
And rightly so, for life he brings, to plants and man as well,
Yet would his world not be so, just like the pits of hell?
The moon she watches, hidden yet, and lost within plain sight,
Yet one must leave when the other wakes, lest surely be a fight,
A war of worlds, a war of time, the battlefield our skies,
What would become of our dear world if either one had died?
But to my suprise, when I awake, I look into the clouds,
And surely there the sun shines bright, yet the moon is still abound,
This cant be so? I ask myself, for surely comes the end,
Then to my suprise they laughed and played..
And forever they were friends.
