For weeks the Right Wing Obama haters have been running with rumors, un-named sources only available to Fox News, and outright speculation to build their own picture of what happened in Benghazi.

And now, the CIA, the agency that was actually there and responded has released a timeline of what happened during the attack which has blown the Right Wing fan faction out of the water. There was no "Stand Down" order, the two ex-Navy Seals didn't go in guns blazing on their own against orders, there were more than just the two of them that responded (there goes the Rambo fan fiction of 2 vs hundreds), the drone wasn't pre-dispatched to that area, one of the ex-Navy Seals came from Tripoli, and the two that died didn't die trying to defend the Consulate, they died back at the CIA safe house trying to defend that.

And after all that, all you have from the Benghaziers is, "That's a lie". LIKE THE FREAKING KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.

I'm sorry, but I have nothing else to say to Benghaziers anymore, they have carved out a new sub-species of Conspiracy Theorist who will be sneered at just like Birthers.

YOu mean the rumors from the actual HEARINGS........? those rumors? From testimony from people who were watching this take place live? Those rumors?

Or people who were actually responsible for the training and outfitting of this area on the ground? That testified at the hearings? Those rumors?

Perhaps you should actually watch the hearings............I havent found ONE person who has watched the hearings all the way through who still come to bat for the administration on this......

So you can't give specifics, just like I thought.

It's a worn out and old tactic that works on people with low intellect, "trust me, watch this 3 hour video, it's all in there", but they can't articulate their own thoughts. Why can't you take what you have already heard (supposedly) and articulate that into a well thought out response? Why do you have to rely on just linking to a three hour video and not being able to give a single specific about what is in that video that proves your point?

No sir, I am not what is wrong with America, you are. The person who can't articulate his own thoughts and lets others think for him. When asked to articulate his point, he just points to a video and says it's all in there.

I didn't come on this forum to watch hours upon hours of video that I have already seen looking for a piece of information that someone says is in there, but can specify what that information is. I've come on here to have intelligent conversation with other people. I'm sorry you can't rise to that occasion and instead just rely on pointing to a video when asked for your own thoughts.

They really want to believe that two men rushed in as patriots against orders and all by themselves took on hundreds and hundreds of "terrists". They want Rambo and The Expandables to be real life.

This is the same thing that happened with the Aurora shootings, they like to believe that if just one person in that dark smokey theater was armed, they would have taken out the shooter all be themselves and no one would have been killed.

The more I read how Republicans think Obama's administration should have handled the situation, the more and more convinced I am that GOP supporters play entirely to much xBox 360 and PS3.

I just keep thinking..."Marines are not like Master Chief from Halo. These people must think war is really like that."

This isn't a video game, it's also not a movie!

Does anyone really think they would have been able to get a chopper anywhere near that consulate? The enemy would have gone, "oh wow, look at that big black metal target!". One RPG would have taken them out.

It's not like it is in "Transformers" -- this wasn't open desert. They were being fired upon from cover. It would have been very hard to determine the size and disposition of forces even with a drone flying over.

Here's the thing with this story, and the birther story: that no straight answer was forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time. It has every appearance of time being taken to see if it would blow over, then concocting a story.

Not that I am a birther. Only that their point, about why it wasn't forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time, is wholly valid and yet to be answered.

In essence, to demand answers in a timely fashion is how you keep that particular sleight of hand from occuring.

Everything I have looked at has shown the Rapid response team couldn’t have gotten there any faster than four and a half to six hours after the first report. Think about how long it takes to fly across the country. Washington had conflicting reports one which stated the conflict was over. What are the chances that when they touched down in country that their presence would spark a new conflict. So best estimates they would be able to get there to fight for maybe an hour and more than likely cause fighting to continue. A new battle of Mogadishu where I guarantee more would die. Does anyone know at what time they placed the ambassador’s death I am willing to bet he had already died?

I do not even know if one was there but the rumor has been around here but in that environment using an AC-130 would have put our own people at risk not to mention we had people missing so how would we know if we weren’t firing on them.

The whole situation stinks but how much worse could it have ben? Answer: A lot worse.

I don't think an AC-130 would have been effective unless we knew our people were out of harms way.

It's not like the enemy was was out in the open. How are you supposed to know where to fire, when the bad guys are hiding in buildings?

I watched that hearing when around the time it happened. Are you sure you have watched it, because you can't seem to be able to articulate what you got out of it.

The old "I'm not doing your work for you" defense when you can't back up your own argument, that's cute. YOU are the one claiming that you have facts that contradict this timeline, yet you can't seem to provide any examples. That is on YOU, it's not up to me to prove YOUR claims. If you can't back up your claims or are unwilling to, then maybe you should stop making claims.
