Does anyone know of any government projects having to do with human enhancment? super solidier projects or anything like that?

I read somewhere back in the 70's they tried to make this drug that would take the urge from soldiers to sleep and still be alert.

I guess thats super soldier-ish in some way. Maybe you could start your search there, even though its a little bit vaque.
