Well as you know I disagree. Bain had 'wild' success on a small (13%) number of tries. America is not a capitalist society. Capitalism is based upon a level business playing field. Ours is anything but. And I respectfully disagree that we are shareholders in a corporation. If we were, The President as CEO and the Board of Directors (Congress) could and would be fired for malfesance associated with their fiduciary repsonsibilities. And I'm not talking about just Obama. Bush and McCain in the Spring of 2008 publicly told the 'shareholders' that the fundamentals of our finances were 'sound'. Nothing could have been further from the truth. As Enron showed us, you go to jail for intentionally misleading your shareholders. The lies to get us into the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and 'terror' have cost trillions and been largely responsible for nearly bankrupting the country. Again, no accountability.

The corporation of America is controlled by the interest of a small minority. That minority is able to engineer policies that favor them at the majority's expense. They structure and enforce a CEO recruitment process that only provides the shareholders with two options --- chosen again, by the minority.

We are, sadly, a corporatocracy.

You know what I think is the most important question we can ask? Will you and I...to more or less represent everyone else in general....be able to disagree as friendly and casually Wednesday as we are today? As individuals...literally, you and me? Sure. I wonder how hard the emotions are going to turn though..

We'll agree to disagree on the politics tho..as I can't think of too much more to add to your points or mine which adds in a constructive way. Hopefully, whoever wins, the polarization can ease up at least. I'm not sure how old you are, but I recall when it wasn't near this polarized and Dems/Reps worked together as much as not. It's sure come a long way, hasn't it?
