Sirens that would sound in the event of an emergency at the San Onofre nuclear plant will be tested Wednesday morning, plant operator Southern California Edison announced Tuesday. The 50 sirens scattered in and around the nuclear plant will go off several times between 10 a.m. and noon, their long, steady tone lasting about three minutes each time.
I found out about this hurricane today.
Maybe your dreams were influenced by the Eastern Coastal area of the United States being hit by hurricane Sandy....

know here in Southern California they recently tested the sirens for the nuclear plant in San Onofre. Perhaps your sirens in your dream were related to a nuclear warning of some sort.
