well it seems with cold and flu season starting the media is gonna start leaking more "killer" virus stories. How many years in a row have they tried to scare everyone with these exotic virus stories? now this one does sound unpleasant! i stumbled on it yesterday and thought I would share did a search for this story didn't find a hit so sorry in advance if this has been up.The Armageddon virus: Why experts fear a disease that leaps from animals to humans could devastate mankind in the next five years

And so it proved this month when a 38-year-old garage owner from Glasgow, who had been to his brother’s wedding in Afghanistan, became the UK’s first confirmed victim of the tick-borne viral illness when he died at the high-security infectious disease unit at London’s Royal Free Hospital.

It is a disease widespread in domestic and wild animals in Africa and Asia — and one that has jumped the species barrier to infect humans with deadly effect.

But the unnamed man’s death was not the only time recently a foreign virus had struck in this country for the first time.

Last month, a 49-year-old man entered London’s St Thomas’ hospital with a raging fever, severe cough and desperate difficulty in breathing.

So are you saying that people should get a flu-shot? I don't think anyone would dispute that eventually a killer virus will be kicked into motion...not sure you can put a time line of when the super virus will occur as it could be five years, next week or 100 years..

Heck no id never get a flu shot ! i feel this is really more scare tactics then anything to get you to run to the dr. for every little cold

I don't think a flu shot would work in this case, as it is a new strain. I think the best thing to do is keep an eye on the stories but don't panic. Right now it doesn't seem to be spreading.

I do feel there is a threat from this type of thing happening. However Black Death couldn't wipe us out, Spanish Influenza didn't manage it ether. Swine/Bird flue seems to be the politically correct in thing for us to worry about just now. The current mass transit system also has a hand to play in this type of scenario. What im saying is us Monkeys are quite a resilient species. Some percentage would inevitably survive. Thats the plan eh? Georgia guidestones implies as much!

No the Black Death didn't wipe us out but it killed aprox 2/3 of europe I think, it would sure as hell worry me and that virus has similar syptoms to it. I don't think anything could wipe us out even airbone ebola or Marburg but I dont want to take my chances on being one of the priveliged few immune either, not that there is any such thing as immune there are always some symptoms howerver minor.

I guess it comes down to ones definition of Armageddon, we can blame the Bible(and others) for that. All im saying is that its not an extinction level event in the same way say a Supernova in our neighbourhood or Black Hole formation would be. I am in no way promoting the depopulation of Earth. I leave that to Organised religion and the NWO scum currently occupying the Whitehouse and Number 10 Downing street etc. You know who im talking about? The same people who are quite happy to licence all the antiviral drugs full of Squalene and other nasty stuff im sure!

I believe most of the super bugs which are around now is down to how people use medication and how being super clean is the way to go.

Most cleaning produce you buy kills 99% of germs – Surly it’s going to get to a point where these germs evolve/mutate into something that doesn’t die from a little Domestos and has a much harsher impact on the human body than the 99% germs they killed of work surfaces.

Also, tablets are being popped for anything and everything, using the hardest hitting tablets to cure things like a headache – Come on really, can people not survive a head ache?

Personally I don’t take tablets for anything and I clean my work surfaces with just some hot water and a sponge and I can honestly say I have never been ill –well that’s a lie I did have the chickenpox as a kid and a spicy curry might cause me to have a few more bathroom visits but that’s it .

Its kinda like a catch 22, people sterilise everything around them, germs mutate and get stronger, infect people outside of their sterile environment which turn they need to take tablets as the immune system has built up zero tolerance, germs again get stronger, stronger sterilising produce needed and stronger tablets to fight the germs, which just keep getting stronger.

People just need to get a grip and realise germs/diseases are mutating faster than chemists can create new ways of killing them and that’s down to what we use on a daily basis, world over.

Anybody else find it suspicious that the majority of cases of this Eastern Equine Encephalitis outbreak/deaths are clustered around the same area as the lab that created the fungal-tainted injection that causes meningitis? (Massachusetts) Both cause swelling of the brain. 'Twould be real easy to say EEE and avoid a lawsuit, if you could control the lab results. It's a stretch, I know, but I wonder who owns the labs that are diagnosing EEE in the state of Massachusetts? It's a small state. Any chance that wayward drug company has its grip on it?

Another thought: The article said school kids were being kept indoors near an EEE outbreak in Mass. Another stretch in line with my previous "connection" ...fungal spores floating in the breeze? (Like, escaped from the lab.)

If any one is interested in the origins of plague and armageddon then they should read the book The Gods of Eden by William Bramley. Its incredible what it reveals. The genesis of the grim reaper and the black death are detailed. Did you know that just before plague broke out in townships ufo type lights and glowing mists were seen? Men dressed in black robes would stand in the fields and wave about what the people then thought were scythes but in truth were probably some kind of germ spraying dispersal device and a day or so later the black plague would break out in that town. It seems that we have always been the property of some species that periodically kills off a huge percentage of us. It also goes into the cause of wars and why they happen which seems to be the same reason, that we are played off against each other by a species that finds it convienient to keep us busy killing each other.

I am not going to get any injections from the govt, I shall just continue to take my colloidal silver water. I used to suffer from colds and flues all the time. Now I dont get them any more. This is disturbing when illness`s are jumping species.

I wrote a paper on this at one time.

The thing is, bacteria that is immune to these things already exist. Not just the "super bugs" that you hear about like MRSA, but all through the whole spectrum of microorganisms.

There are certain things that people can do that select for these microorganisms to thrive(like good ole' Darwin said). Usually these "bugs" grow and proliferate equally. Tons of the bugs are your garden variety bugs, while a small percentage are immune. When you take an antibiotic improperly, like discontinuing its use when you feel better, you've killed off all the susceptible bacteria leaving behind the super bugs. Usually your immune system can handle what's left, but sometimes they spread.

I imagine we're doing something similar with this widespread use of antiseptics; at the very least we're weakening our immune system by not exposing it to a "healthy" amount of diseases.
