'Smoke-ring' UFOs?

Ahh, got it, yea I agree.

I'll have to see if the photographer from the OP returns with more info on the 'strange' phenomena witnessed, I'm thinking they are perhaps related to the volcanos.

Shrike, the one you posted is interesting but it's impossible to determine if there's not an airplane nearby that just cleared its pipes, as it were.

By posting the photo I didn't mean to imply that it had any connection to a UFO. I selected it because, normally, when photos of "smoke" rings are presented the ring is usually by itself and "automatically" linked to UFOs. In "my" photo the ring is at a low altitude and it's above a human gathering which can be interpreted as having somehow created the ring.

I'm also not saying that all rings were created by humans but I haven't seen ring photos that include UFOs so in reality no one can claim that they know what created the rings. There are many atmospheric wonders that can only be explained as created by nature and, perhaps, "smoke" rings can be added to the list.

It's always evidence versus belief.

It shouldn't be that hard to find a source for a ring-shaped vortex, unless you don't really want to look.

If a photographer takes a photo of a smoke ring off in the distance, and doesn't bother to investigate the source, he can claim it's mysterious all he wants, but that doesn't make it mysterious. If he had gone toward the source to see it came from an amusement park (or volcano, or whatever the source happens to be), he probably could have identified the source.

Yes that's a well documented source in general, though I haven't seen any confirmation of that source of the OP pic ring, though it seems to be a likely suspect! Maybe the photographer will investigate more. In the case of volcanoes, the phenomenon often repeats, which is why it can be documented so well. But winds can also disrupt it, and as calm skies are not always present, the repeat pattern depends on other factors like wind.

It then disappeared into the distance traveling north northeast over the Santa Ana Freeway
that cut across the landscape about seven eighths of a mile away. A ring of
bluish-black smoke hung in the sky at the same altitude and azimuth as the
craft’s position before it began its rapid departure.

Heflin drove north on Myford Road 100 or 200 yards toward the smoke
ring, which was slowly rising in altitude and traveling northeast with the wind
at an angle of about 50-degrees elevation. When he got close to the smoke
ring, he got out of his van and photographed it."

You can't trust some of those reports.
Well I don't.
His photos were taken and never given back until UFO Hunters looked
again after their return. Science handlers do not want accurate data
especially of invisible rings. That put them on the spot as to how to
make an invisible ring only exposed in photos. From what I recall he
didn't notice any ring in the sky. So you show me a report he saw
a ring and went after it. That is conflicting reports making explaining
the photo a lot easier because thats their job to make reasonable stories.

How many rings left from UFO do we know about.
How many UFO disk ship photos do we have.
These are the only ones seemingly belonging together.

He was taking photos as fast as he could.
I don't think he would go after some ring, what for.
That is not the account I heard.
