Hello fellow seekers,

Ever so rarely do I ever post, as this is my second post ever. For today I have come to share a quote that left me inspired to write a post. I feel that I have a need to share it among my fellow seeker and man out there on this journey. Here is the quote:

"While Religion worships the Light and Philosophy speaks of the Light, The Mystic turns on the Light"

Now I have come to ask everyone to take a moment and empty your thoughts to realized what this means. Turning on the 'Light' is not something that cannot be said or worshiped, it is simply flicking the switching. Then the light simply appears, the light bulb turns on. This could also be an appearance of self-expression, as you are simply lighted. There is no need worship or speak of it so highly, it must be something that you turn on in your self. And embrace your fellow brother and sisters to turn their light on.

I do ask for all of us seekers or not in spiritually or simply living our lives. To realized that you only have the potential to turn on your light. The switch may look faraway but the second it turns on your illumination has arrived. As you awakened to understand this simplicity, there would no more super extravagant ideals or dead text on a book.

It is simple as just flicking the switch on the wall.

Feel free to speak about this as freedom is yours

The mystic knows that he is the light.
He is the projector and the screen and all that appears on the screen (the light) and also the watcher of the moving image.

Whoa,
it's bright in here!
*slaps on shades*
Much better.

Great post!

I wrote a poem once that kind of mirros these thoughts about turning on the light.

My Awakening

I walked through the darkness without seeing any light.
A darkness so cold that I shivered with fright.
Wandering along a twisted path of greed,
not even knowing I had planted a seed.
My path wondered on seeming without an end.
I had no goals to reach and no love to send.
Then somehow the little seed took sprout,
And hard as I tried I couldn't pull it out.
The minute I touched this small soul grown seed,
It sparked with life and grew like a weed!
I saw the light this plant had brought,
And I realized that it was something I had been taught.
It was the tree of knowledge growing in my mind,
I remember how I once could be kind.
I turned and looked down my dark winding trail,
Realizing I had learned from my darkness,
The darkness changed to a lighter pale.
I looked ahead down my slightly brighter street,
And saw it pass other roads of people I would meet.
I would learn a little from each person I met,
Each intersection,
A person I could not forget.
Then the light began to shine from my still growing tree,
And I had the realization that the light was guiding me.
It had been with me all along in the dark!
but until I needed it,
It was only the seed,
From which came the
spark!

We all have a light within us that we just need to turn on.

The mystic does nothing but live in the realm of his dreams and asceticism and in the process pushes everything else away into the shadows—including himself.
