Ok , Im only 32 years old . My father was close friends with some of what was remaining of the Marry Pranksters and most of their children . My mother
, well , to say the least was similarly minded . So , I was pretty much raised as a hippie and an optimist . Its without saying that I have and still
do listen to a lot of 60's music . I have noticed that jim morrison was ( his name is not capitalized for a reason ) more so at times than not , the
poet that he is so famous for not being . Poets have a long history of telling people things they already know but dont want to look at in a way that
enables said person to look at it . One song in particular , stands out to me in a profound way . The song , Five To One , Jim is not singing to his
generation , but is singing to mine . If you listen , he repeatedly mocks his gen . for getting lost , but , he dose focus on the fact that the fight
is a good fight and is inevitable and knows that his time is not the one . He paints this pic. of whats going on in his time and how ( in so many
words ) the way its done then will not par up . But then he go's left and talks to my gen. to get together one more time and that we can only go the
right way .The only way that is left . Really not only a lot of his songs say this regularly but also so does most of Pink Floyds songs and so many
others of their time . so many songs that start with the old gen. not paring up but that mine HAS to . Thank you for visiting my tread , enjoy the
music , the message , and Take Care .
