Why not? Obama is buying votes with free cell phones.

Wrong! The whole phone thing started long ago, but the cell phone deal started in '08, months before Obama was elected-under Bush as a matter of fact. I'm not looking for the link because I know that I speak the truth, besides which, I'm not even a fan of Obama - just enjoy the truth.

No employees to do the work?

Some people are so dumb? They're usually the unemployed anti government ones.

Yes you are correct, this phone thang started with Bush.
But the issue is that of perception because some folks are so uninformed, they truly believe Obama is actually the one supplying them with these phones.

It's a feel good, believe in Santa Claus type of experience and God help you if you burst their bubble with the truth.
That itself should be all the proof one needs to see Obama followers are so mesmerized by him, they can't think straight. These same people are already planning on rioting if Obama loses.
What's wrong with this picture?

Psychology experts, please feel free to chime in and explain this delusion.

Anything you post does not change the fact that the man himself said that his business is doing better then ever under Obama.

Anything you post does not change the fact that the man himself said that his business is doing better then ever under Obama.

Indeed...and no amount of demonizing the man can alter, in that same vein, the fact he isn't claiming he's been living the hard life or his business is suffering RIGHT NOW. It's not by the statements I've seen him make himself.

He's talking about the FUTURE and what is already set and established as plans for programs and initiatives going forward...starting with the largest tax hikes in the history of our nation on Jan 1.

So.. If he was crying in his soup about how bad life has been for the LAST 4 years...you'd have a point and he'd be a whiny little hypocrite. True. He's very clearly talking about the future though.

...and frankly, he took a rather extreme method to Voice his rightful opinion as an American who happens to be a CEO as well......but he's damn sure NOT the only one I've heard say the same or far stronger versions of the same sentiment.

Hell, the guy I do volunteer moderator work for on another web site is a millionaire several times over. He spends a good deal of his time chasing the race circuit around with his cars and his Son and his car...when he's not in a rather impressive 'private' car shop he build to support his endless hobby of old cars and fast racers. ...... He also pulled the plug a few years ago, when seeing the Commie-In-Chief and the plans to build a Socialist Paradise off the backs of the working class. He shut down his businesses, laid off whoever worked them and said 'screw you Obama' and retired.. He's said himself, he'd love to run one more serious business in his life....but absolutely NOT with a Socialist as a President.

I can't blame him ONE bit..just as I can't blame the CEO in this story. Money doesn't make a man more tolerant to being screwed by Uncle Sammy...it just adds zeros to the screwing they get.

I'd say there are very good reasons Obama is connected with the free phone program and the fact the average people in the street directly associate HIM with a program actually started in 2008..building on a program initiated in 1985 under Reagan shows he's been 100% succcessful in pushing the connection and message in people's minds.

It also pays DAMN well to be an Obama campaign contributor. Especially for this phone program.

While it’s true that President Obama didn’t launch the cell phone expansion of the Lifeline program, his policies have greatly increased the number of participants, since everyone in Food Stamp Nation qualifies for a free phone. The cost of the program has more than doubled, to $1.6 billion, since the cell phone benefit was added in 2008. It’s absolutely riddled with fraud and abuse, including individual recipients who scored multiple free telephones from the government. And it turns out that one of the biggest companies providing these welfare phones, TracFone Wireless, is run by big Obama donors.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that TracFone Wireless CEO F.J. Pollak “has donated at least $156,500 to Democratic candidates and committees this cycle, including at least $50,000 to the Obama campaign,” while his wife Abigail has bundled over $632,000 in Obama donations during this campaign cycle. They hosted a $40,000-per-plate fundraiser for Obama in Miami Beach this year, and they’ve made seven White House Visits. Abigail received an appointment to the presidential “Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of the American Latino.”
Source

This same story is carried by outlets across the spectrum if people argue the source itself, BTW.

Now of course TracFone wasn't invented just for this or just for Obama's generosity to a donor. However, why is it with this President, every time we turn around...there is another situation like this where it's necessary to make statements about what it ISN'T and how a conflict really DOESN'T exist? Obama must have full time staff who do nothing but this, for how often these conflicts in appearance come these days.

So.. If Obama wants to take a Bush program...Radically expand it and brand it in people's minds to connect HIS name all over it... Fine... It's Obama's Free Phone Program.
I'll be MORE than happy to give him all the credit he so desperately seems to seek for it and give him the whole ugly baby right in HIS lap.

Gee....rightfully...I should be blaming Bush for inventing the Cell Phone side of it....but Obama is so nice to step in and assume ALL the credit....which brings ALL THE BLAME along with it. Bush ought to drop a thank you note for this one.

I'm not demonizing, I'm pointing out the he's saying both so he is obviously lying. If he didn't close shop during the hard times in 2007 why would he do so now when things are "better then ever"?

I was thinking it's a power trip but after seeing Heff's post he might be on to something. Any publicity is good publicity.

You seem to be saying he is somehow less entitled to voice his opinion as an American and a Business owner than you or I are. Several here seem to think that and it's disgusting to me to see in this nation, frankly.

If ONE person actually loses a job due to political views or a vote...I'd say he's not voicing opinions anymore, he's committed prosecutable violations of the Federal Employment codes, so IF what everyone says MIGHT happen..actually DOES happen..fry his butt.

Until or unless that happens? He's a man voicing an opinion and those who don't like it..didn't need to read what their Boss sent down the line. Those who don't work for him sure don't have to read it...and if people at Westgate hadn't even seen this to read it, what actually had changed? Nothing? Then what IS the offense the man has committed here?

He's free to say whatever he wants but when he makes two opposing statements then one of them has to be a lie. That is all I'm saying. He's probably the only one who knows the reason why he chose to send out the letter but that still doesn't change the fact that he's doing great now, under Obama.
