Hello fellow ATS members,
First of all i apologise to the Mods if this is in the wrong section, so move as you see fit.
I have stared this thread as i wished to discuss a TV show i have recently seen know as Person of Interest.

I know the UK government has a sophisticated surveillance system in place, and was wondering if the worlds governments have achieved the impossible
and actually built a system to recognize potential threats.
I suppose after 9/11 and 7/7 in the UK the worlds governments needed a way to track targets and suspects,
The following link gives you a rough idea how much we are being watched, not just here in the UK its even bigger i suspect in the USA where there are
more than one intelligence agency. How much they share amongst themselves is unknown.

My question is this ATS do you trust your government to protect you and your family? If they have access to every aspect of our lives, although i
believe they do in some way or another. And how far would they go if your name came up?
If you have nothing to hide i suppose you have nothing to worry about, It's just scary that they have that power and could potentially abuse it for
all the wrong reasons.
Look forward to your input folks.
