"Jelawat in the Western Pacific is forecast to curve toward the Japan mainland, bringing flooding rain, monstrous seas and damaging winds.
According to World Weather Expert Jason Nicholls, "It has turned northward as forecast and is projected to turn northeastward this weekend with direct, dangerous impacts on Japan."

oh boy. that looks BAD. really really really bad.


edit to add.... i just read more and it's just a category 1 which doesn't seem like it's done a lot of damage although it's not over.

I'm getting the feeling mother nature is a bit ticked off with the Japanese for some reason
Hope noone is seriously injured (or killed).

BBC News video here, watching a car been blown down the road like a piece of paper is rather scary (30 seconds in).
