and it also sounds like the matrix...harvesting energy, blue pill, red pill, nothing is what it seems. if this is happening, how would we be able to verify it in a logical, critical-thinking way, rather than some type of "mystical experience"?

It's also just speculation.

But ain't it fun? To follow these trails wherever they go?

Just have to keep some level of objectivity present otherwise... well... madness.

This thread also talks about predation from a different angle.
Loosh Energy Harvested by Trans-dimensional Beings

Robert Monroe, in his book “Far Journeys,” writes of contact he had with a light being in an out-of-body experience. (Monroe is arguably the world’s foremost researcher on OBEs; he started an institute with trainee/researchers to scientifically investigate the phenomenon.) Reportedly the light being told Monroe that when humans die, their energy is released and harvested by trans-dimensional beings, who use it to extend their own life spans. The claim is that the universe is a garden created by these beings as their food source.

You might also want to check out Roswell Rods. They believe that glimpses of these beings have been captured on film.

The purpose of practicing eightfold yoga is to control the mind in order to make it a friend in discharging the human mission. Unless the mind is controlled, the practice of yoga (for show) is simply a waste of time. One who cannot control his mind lives always with the greatest enemy, and thus his life and its mission are spoiled. The constitutional position of the living entity is to carry out the order of the superior. As long as one's mind remains an unconquered enemy, one has to serve the dictations of lust, anger, avarice, illusion, etc. But when the mind is conquered, one voluntarily agrees to abide by the dictation of the Personality of Godhead, who is situated within the heart of everyone as Paramātmā. Real yoga practice entails meeting the Paramātmā within the heart and then following His dictation. For one who takes to Kṛṣṇa consciousness directly, perfect surrender to the dictation of the Lord follows automatically.

Bhagavad-gītā As It Is 6.6

Precisely...this was also the first thing that popped into my head...

The Castenada series were an allegorical portrayal, that was erroneously (in some way) reinterpreted by a 'seeker'...the mind 'tricks' do the work of...pushing the seeker in the right direction...i.e. if there is no percieved threat, you can be become complacent...sometimes fear is used against ourselves to lead us on a wild goose chase...but at least we are moving in some direction - not static...

The excerpt from the Bhagavad-gita is a gentler approach (and eminently more poetic!), but nonetheless, mirrors all cosmologies...food for thought (LOL)...

I first read Castaneda in the early 70's and i have spent a great deal of time experimenting and examining his works. In the process of deciding whether his written experiences were fake, half truth or truth I discovered the different types of realities, I discovered that mankind is a sorcerer, what we do to ourselves, each other and the universe. I discovered things about myself and discovered the many ways we humans can see, visualize and manifest our visions into reality.

As per the inorganic beings who plague us humans, certain very easy to realize concepts only need to be acted upon and we humans can change our world and the universe into a total life of true freedom.

I am nobody and a person who wishes the best for humanity and I was handled well by those in charge of space tech stealthed ships and agents.

They wanted me dead they could have killed me in any way and yet they did not so I am confused.

My only goals are to observe.

I am not an alien as far as I know but I have insights that a beyond top secret.

You have insights that are way beyond top secret? Interesting. New age and UFO "abductees" are an extension of mystical experiences that span the Judeo-Christian-Islamic periods as well as earlier. Such people claim to be in the "know-how" but when pressed all one gets are generalities and opinions that do not stand the test of time.

One would think such secret amazing knowledge would be shared but it is kept close like Linus's blanket -- in the end as baseless as Linus's insecurity.

This is an interesting thread.

The problem I still have with it is the belief many have that our mind or spirit is separate of our body and that the energies that feed it are somehow divine or immaterial. This is where I disagree the most. I do not exclude it as a possibility, but it does seem to me that many people exclude the possibility that our mind is principally tied to our material body and it has no divine or separate nature. They probably do that because of their faith or religion. Maybe they don't exclude the material perspective, but like me, they just don't talk much about things they're not hardwired to hold onto. I, for example, hold onto the idea that our mind originates in the body and does not reside anywhere else and upon deaht it's essentially extinguished like a fire that loses its fuel.

This is why I feel that harvesting our memories or conscious processes might be more worthwhile than harvesting anything else. What else is there to harvest? If energy is what these beings want, there're better ways to get it. For example, I similarly never understood why the robots in the matrix movies harvest humans for their energy. If energy is what they wanted, why work so hard to get it?

I have no reason to think we have a separate nature or separate body or separate mind other than some obscure quantum physics I've vaguely read in several different places.

I will say this though....

Lately I dreamed I was clutching at the face of a rock but it would not hold. Gravel gave way. I grasped for a shrub, but it pulled loose, and in cold terror I fell into the abyss... what I embody, the principle of life, cannot be destroyed ... It is written into the cosmic code, the order of the universe. As I continued to fall in the dark void, embraced by the vault of the heavens, I sang to the beauty of the stars and made my peace with the darkness.

Not only Carlos wrote about these parasites,Colin Wilson in his book ``Mind Parasites´´
describes exactly what you are writing about here.It actually makes a lot of sense and explains better then anything else why humanity is in such a state. Personally I have experienced the creatures whilst roaming out on shrooms,it was a frightening experience, as I became aware of them in my mind and the idea of fighting them off leaped to me,I instantly knew that it will cause you to go shizo, because they are in your mind, they have become a part of us,perhaps this is what we call the devil. You cannot fight the devil. I think the only way to find release is to become one with god, they have no power in love, it repels them, it is the only antidote that can overcome their draining grip on our lifes energy...

He looked at me, smiled maliciously, and said, “The flyers’ mind flees forever when a sorcerer succeeds in grabbing on to the vibrating force that holds us together as a conglomerate of energy fields. If a sorcerer maintains that pressure long enough, the flyers’ mind flees in defeat. And that’s exactly what you are going to do; hold on to the energy that binds you together.”

Anyone care to expound on this?

humans should be aware and realize we have choices, there may be or may not be consequences but WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING we do not have to eat, we choose to, we do not have to pay taxes, we are threatened to, much of the "real" world is "after the fact" there is often no one to stop you from doing mostly anything BUT the fear of consequences, or the fear of being different, or not being accepted. This keeps you living in a small box instead of really doing as you want in a universe of options. We are coerced, we are under duress, we are stressed and we do not have to feel these things...we choose to be slaves and then we allow ourselves to be bought, sold and chained. If you hate the slave world and the slave mind and you have little or no responsibilities then free yourselves.

Carlos Castaneda was correct in stating that discipline defeats our masters ( mud shadows. rolling force, etc.) because we take steps to develop self mastery which gives us the personal power to cast off the parasites.

Is there any reason why anyone should take such a man seriously? He seems no more credible than the "mad" uncle every family has. He has NO evidence, NOTHING to prove either his expertise or credibility. New Age "theology" is as weak as traditional theology and it is interesting to see people take it as seriously. Reminds me of a poem by Al Ma'ari:

It goes something like...

Now this religion or that prevails
Till from another overthrown
For men cannot live with men alone
But with another fairy tale.

Not to say that I do not think there are "spirit" beings that either help or hurt. This man only seems to be cutting and pasting with a guru spiel.

I am not saying that Castaneda was telling the truth, the half truth or made the whole thing up. You are missing the first point that this is sorcery and what sorcerers, witches, brujos etc. do is "manipulate" reality. If you care to explore this thing it can wake you up to some things. If you just want to discard the whole idea feel free to do so.

I will give you something to think about......

Elsewhere on the ATS website there is discussion and conjecture about the bible story of Jacob "wrestling" with an angel and the story that follows.

Castaneda describes how the native american indian sorcerers would seek out using a special formula "allies" / spirits perhaps or more scientifically described as inorganic beings that the sorcerer may experience an encounter not much different than a wrestling match with a similar outcome to what is described in the bible......

Freak you out yet? did Castaneda like a heavy metal vocalist use the bible as a source of supernatural material or............is this merely a longstanding yet secret tradition of the mystery schools to seek out and master the spirits???
