China`s Military Sacrilege

First of all, I'm sorry for possible mistakes in my post, I�m Russian and currently don�t have enough time to learn English well.

Ok, I would like to discuss about Chinese demands to get latest Russian military technologies and their imperial ambitions.

The PRC is demanding that Russia sell it the latest generation of military technology. This not only contradicts the strategic interests of Russia�s defense industry, but it could also create a threat to national security.

At a late April meeting in Beijing with Russian defense minister Sergei Ivanov, the chairman of China�s State Council Weng Jiabao announced that �the practice of acquiring finished military hardware from Russia has run its course and now the time has come to find new forms of cooperation.� The Chinese Minister of Defense Cao Gangchuan proposed removing all limits on military hardware supply and giving Chinese specialists access to top-secret Russian military know-how.

If we continue selling them tech, this destabilizes world balance, and also threatens to us, personally I think WW3 will start within 5-10 years and goes to nuclear stage very quikly.

China has no desire to recognize Russia�s current borders. The Chinese authorities are demanding Russia �declare all the treaties concluded between imperial Russia and the Qing Dynasty unequal.� In 1989, Deng Xiaoping announced that �Russia used these treaties to grab more than one and half million square kilometers of Chinese territory and now the time has come to pay.� The Chinese have in mind the entire Maritime Territory, Tuva, Sakhalin, and areas north of the Amur River, including Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. Deng Xiaoping�s statements were never disavowed, and they continue to play an important role in local politics. Since 1949 Chinese schoolchildren have be taught to believe that Russia is �in historical territorial debt to China.� For example, a recently published Chinese secondary school textbook states directly that �during the Second Opium War provoked by the British and French, tsarist Russia delighted in another�s woe, robbing the house while it burned.�

This appears to be the most telling of the situation at hand, China's population pressures are obviously forcing the PRC to not only seek to gain the best technology for their military, but to eventually use that technology to expand their territories into neighboring countries. Mongolia is between China and some of the territories in Russia that it seeks. Do they claim Mongolia as well? It would be interesting to see the United States reaction to China's invasion of these regions citing "disavowed treaties". If China did pursue the War option and I were the U.S. President I would immediately declare all debt to China cancelled, close their embassies and operations in the U.S., imprison their Political Operatives and then hand them over to the Russians. As a punative measure I would authorize the U.S. Navy to immediately sink all Chinese vessels at sea, both military and commercial.

After all, they are the ones that made their population problem, maybe they really need to learn from the consequences of it.

First, China and the United States are tied to closely; economically to do that-we need them more than they need us.

Second, China may not have the most advanced military, but they did purchase a lot of top flight Russian military equipment during Russia's fire sale.

Third the US could easily sink any Chinese ship in their navy-no problem (sure Chan will have something to say about that)

Forth if we get too close to the Chinese mainland, they could flood our navy with planes and missiles. We may have the largest, most modern navy in the world, but even our ships could be hit when 20 planes each firing several missiles go after each ship we have-just shear numbers game.

Fifth China has nuclear weapons and ICBMS. They may not be the newest or the best, but they could get many over to the US-this of course would mean the end of the world...

I think this is a bad idea, but from the Russian standpoint you need the cash and the French are foaming at the mouth to sell them anything.

My suggestion would be to take the economic hit, not sell them anything. Let the French do it and IF a war to happen, feek good in knowing that they will be fighting with French equipment. Should be a quick war for ya!

Don't be shocked in 35-50 years when the cold war II is starting and the US and Russia are united against China.

Russia and the US have the same threats - terrorism and China. It makes sese don't you think?

This is not as farfetched as it may sound. China has a huge population issue that is growing despite draconian attempts at controll (Im not faulting them for trying, just thier methods). They also need acess to raw material and territory. Taiwan and the Sprattalys are drops in the bucket. However if they just glance to the North you have both territory as well as raw materials. Push comes to shove, which way are they going to go?

I think China and the US will be at loggerheads much sooner then that. I feel as soon as Taiwan declares independence and if China then invades we will for sure take taiwan's side. I think throughout history not 1 war has ever been between 2 democratic nations. Also I think if we try to do something to North Korea then China would back NK and I've heard they are ready to send over 300,000 troops to help right away...thing will be getting interesting after this election for sure!
