I thought this was a fun news event, but I'm not quite sure where it should be posted, so I chose this forum,it may be moved if need be..although I would have normally preferred alternative breaking news.. In any case, this is fun news story..

Bahahaha!

This so doesn't surprise me! I have lived in Florida for far too long and this doesn't surprise me. People do some really stupid things here and it always involves alcohol.

There isn't a whole lot to do in Bunnel so I'm sure this is top news for them and I bet they are proud lol.

Another sad cop story.
Cruelty to animals for riding a horse.
Resisting arrest even though he had broken no laws.
Obviously there no city ordinances for riding a horse drunk or in town or they would have cited him for it.
Disorderly conduct at best.

I'm surprised they didn't shoot the animal.

That's excellent! And that's exactly right; We're also lucky the ol' cowboy wasn't shot either..
These days that's normal protocol..

At least he wasn't naked... and well thankfully he didn't get raped by police batons.

People have died for far less.

Good thing he was the white color.

Actualy Florida mandates of "any Animal, Machine" can not be driven intoxicated. My friend was given a dui on a lawnmower while mowing his own lawn.

No they would have charged him if they could.
You are right about the lawn mower though.

However, in Florida the jury is still out as to horseback riding, and it would appear that the Florida DUI statute would not include a drunken horseback rider, since a horse would not easily be termed a “device”, although any contraption tethered to the horse would be.

There must only be a really small number of towns that allow horseback riding on the streets..
unheard of these days.. I think that's one of the reasons I respect this gentleman so much.
Always keep your boots on..
