Purple beam shoots from cloud to ground..

Hi guys, im a new sign up so I have to post here. Love the site, been watching it for quite some time. I have a pic of this account but I dont know how to post it, if anyone could tell me id appreciate it. So, basically, around 1pm today, in new haven, connecticut.. my cousin shot a picture of a solid purple beam shooting out of a cloud and down to the ground.. initially i thought it was something to do with the camera she took it with, but she reassured me that she only snapped the picture because she saw it with her naked eyes before hand... can someone tell me how to post the pic so you guys can take a look for yourselves??

Under "tools" there a place to upload photos.. or you could use a popular image hosting site like imgrur.com...

Welcome to ATS! A mod will be along shortly to explain the details but generally you'll need 20 posts on other people's topics before being able to start your own.

Tell your friend to make sure he Meta tags that pic and keeps the original. It may be nothing but some of the lightning shots can be a bit rare and photos can all be sold online for stock if nothing else. It's be nice to have a one hit wonder by pure luck like that.

Just so you know this is the introduction forum and it is not for posting links or stories etc. You havve to get 20 posts before you can make a thread about this picture.

Otherwise the mods will 404 your into thread, or maybe since your new just tell you what I just told you, and possibly close your thread to any further comments.

So welcome, get your 20 posts in, then make a thread about your pick. In that order, no problems, any other order...well you will feel the tender loving smack down of the mods.

I want to see the purple beam! What was the beam aiming at? Did your friend get that in the photo?

A lot of things have been captured with beams of light leading to the ground. I believe we have been seeing a worldwide test of holographic technology for at least the last 3 years. (I will say, 3 years ago was when I first noticed it. I very well could have been being tested much longer than that.)

But if it was holographic, why would you see the purple beam. You wouldn't . Seems more like the purple beam would have a different purpose, something along the lines of an ectoplasmic style of transporting .

Thanks for all your comments guys, apparently I will be in trouble if I post it here at this time.. So im going to go comment on some other posts and then I will start my own about this subject.. Ill link it here when and if I figure out how to do so

PS.. it wasnt aiming at anything.. just kind of stopped in mid air.. dont think it was lightening as it was a beautiful day as youll be able to see in the picture. it really is strange and as an avid sky watcher, ive never seen the likes of it before. please stay tuned, im interested in all of your opinions
