Lurking college student joining the fray..

Hello ATS,

I'm a student from Florida who has been lurking here for several months. I came across this site while skimming certain subjects of personal interest. A few years ago, while in middle school, I read an article on MSG that sparked something in me. I did a science experiment on it, read everything I could, and most significantly my mind was opened to the use of a harmful substance by corporations to attain money. For a kid, that blew my mind...I began to delve into dozens of topics, and after reading about the atrocities committed in almost every aspect of society.

The reason I'm registering here is because I feel like I am on the brink of understanding. I see everything that goes on around me, every day I face the lies and disinformation provided to me through media, text books, and brain washed people. I hear my teachers speak of the great deeds performed by men who were responsible for letting the foot of deregulation and corruption in the door. I hear my roommates speak of who they are going to vote for, even though they have absolutely no idea who the people are or what they truly stand for.

I can't wait to meet and talk with all of you, I believe my time spent here will only further my knowledge and open my mind to the truth. Have a great day!
