I've misread it at first, thinking the size of the rock is 8.2 feet, but...it moved that much

Reminds me of the mysterious moving rocks at death valley.
It wouldn't surprise me if they witness occasional soil icing there.

And you misread again. Try reading for a third time?
It's quite simple English, really.

Yeah...we live in a crazy world...governments printing money as if they think its for free and such... Now 'they' fly all over to Mars, spending billions of those dollars just to fire a laser into a suspicious looking pyramid shaped rock....just to be sure it is a rock.

That is not why "they fire a laser" into the rock. How ignorant are you?

i cant see the other two sides but if we assume the other sides are similar

We shouldn't assume that, and most likely they are not.

You could try and pick the rock out in the 360º panorama,

www.panoramas.dk...

Use the full screen, plenty to see in closeup, never mind the rest.

(Hmmm so, how big is this thing?)

No. The rock has NOT moved 8.2 feet, nor is it 8.2 feet in size.

The rock is 8.2 feet away from the rover.

There is no indication that this rock has move recently. As for its size, judging by how it looks from 8.2 feet away from the camera, and judging by its size relative to the texture of the ground around it, I'd say it was no more than 8 to 10 inches (20 to 25 cm) in height or width.

Thank you for the clarification.
I could swear that I read somewhere that the rock moved from its ORIGINAL position.

OKay, I'm sober now. DID I get it right the third time?
