It is clear from your post that you have never actually been involved in any real research or development. Mistakes are made one after the other in
actual research. What you, and many others here are stating is a self generated fantasy that you 'know' how research is conducted despite having
little to no research experience yourself. But that is fine, because you can throw in a media style statement of how the future is on the hands of our
children.
Well, yes it is, children are the future, but if some of the 'alternative' ideals are to be followed, we will be taking back scientific thought and
practice back into the dark ages.
Mistakes are important, and what in reality happens is that a scientist sees something going wrong and thinks "interesting, let me see if i can
understand what went wrong and control it" and thus progress is made. This kind of research is happening, now, at every university... it didn't stop
