umm aren't you supposed to have a secondary/emergency 'chute for such cases
or is dispensing with it the extreme part of this "sport"

When jumping from a plane...time enough for a retry

When jumping from a BASE.....only 6 seconds. No time for retry's...

On average, a normally clothed average-weighted BASE jumper freefalling from a 500 foot building will impact in about 6 seconds. In this scenario most jumpers I knew would take a "delay" of two or three seconds before opening the parachute.

Now there's a mother-to-be who wasn't too bright. I don't feel bad for her, but I do feel bad for the father and the child. I hope it didn't suffer.

I dont know why people have an issue with the pregnancy. People have been hit by lightning checking the mail on a clear day. People who never do anything dangerous die all the time.

It sucks that she died but atleast its no ones fault but hers. The bf probablywishes he died with her. :/ i totally defend what she did.
