West Bloomfield Twp. officer fatally shot, suspect dead

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -
39-year-old Patrick O'Rourke is West Bloomfield's first police officer killed in the line of duty. The husband and father of four young children was gunned down on the job.
The suspect, 50-year-old Ricky Nelson Coley, was found dead inside his home after a standoff that lasted many hours.
We've also learned that Coley was under investigation by the U.S. Labor Department and was accused of misusing more than $300,000.

So we have a corrupt executive gets caught and loses it and a police officer trying to help him loses his life. Please take a moment and pray for those close to him. Officer O'Rourke is the first officer killed in the line of duty in the history of the department.

Apparently Coley was under investigation for transferring $300,000 that was supposed too be used for employee insurance to himself.
I am so sick of this greed and corruption at the top everywhere.

Just imagine how much goes unnoticed.

Imagine what simple honesty could do for this country.

1,500 policemen, including 800 Mounties in red tunics, poured out of B.C. on Tuesday to pay their respects to their fallen comrades in Lakewood, Washington. They were joined by 300 officers from Vancouver and several hundred others from municipal forces.

VANCOUVER – B.C. police officers, firemen and paramedics poured across the U.S. border by the hundreds on Tuesday to pay their final respects to fallen Lakewood police officers.
A count showed more than 1,500 policemen, including 800 RCMP officers wearing their traditional red tunics, and 300 Vancouver police officers attended the emotional funeral service held at the Tacoma Dome packed with ordinary folks and officers from across the United States. Hundreds of firemen and paramedics also left town to join in the funeral services.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Tim Shields said: “Individual officers believe that their attendance at this Memorial Service will represent the support of an entire Force, and an entire profession, for the family of the fallen officers.”
