Recommend a good film about aliens

Don't forget the formidable wave of cheesy 1950's Sci-Fi!



I don't want to spoil the final reveal of the "alien" in this movie, but I died laughing.

There are some good ones about aliens. Such as:

Battle: Los Angeles
The Abyss
Independence Day
Enemy Mine
The Alien series (primarily Alien and Aliens. At Alien 3, the series starts to go downhill)
The Blob (the 1980's remake).
John Carpenter's The Thing
John Carpenter's They Live (unbelievably long fight scene between Roddy Piper and Keith David)
Dark City (love that movie)
Critters 1-4
District 9
Dreamcatcher
Evolution
The Fifth Element
Flight of the Navigator
Killer Klowns from Outer Space (very cheesy. Pretty funny)
Mars Attacks (I thought it was funny)
Night of the Creeps (kind of a zombie movie with brain slugs)
Predator 1-2
Predators
Pitch Black (didn't really care for chronicles of riddick though)
Slither (hilarious movie)
Starship Troopers (the sequels all kind of suck)
Virus

District 9
Prometheus

honestly I thought Close Encounters was boring, I thought it was going to be good because people kept talking bout it as if it was an awesome movie but only decent part was the last few min when they showed the aliens and the missing pilots... that's it

Fire in the Sky
Fifth Element (but obviously just made for entertainment and not really about the aliens)
Independence Day
Men in Black (1-3)
Paul ( made for entertainment but talks about real events if you pay attention)

So me saying it is an alien movie kind of ruins it.
You don't find out til the end that the whole movie is manipulation by aliens.

The Forgotten

Told that their children never existed, a man and woman soon discover that there's a much bigger enemy at work.

when there aren't enough movies theres good sci-fi alien tv shows too
farscape is awesome

All of these have been great choices. I had not really realized how many I had seen. Saw Fire in the Sky recently.

Disturbing...

I'm on the second season of Battlestar Galactica now. Although it's not about aliens It's very good TV science fiction.
