Just more proof Republicans come in all colors and lifestyles. Are you saying someone cannot be gay and still be against gay marriage? That's like saying you can't be heterosexual and against marriage. Half the guys I know are not in favor of getting married.

But they're not trying to use the government to stop people from marrying, or strip people of their civil rights. Can you imagine yourself trying to pass a resolution to prevent heterosexuals from marrying? Or passing a law to prevent straight couples from joining in a civil union? Marriage is more than just a religious ceremony. It is what allows a husband/wife to visit their spouse in a hospital, or to share in their life insurance or benefits, or to inherit their spouses property, etc.

If two people love each other and want to marry or be joined in a civil union, who the blazes are any of us to say, "No, you can't - I don't like it." Instead the supposed party of 'smaller government' keeps finding new laws to invade a persons privacy just to keep people oppressed.

Well Black, there are those in the Democratic Party, that don't believe in Gay marriage also.

Among the handful of Democrats in competitive Senate races, only two offered full support for the president’s newfound position. “I am proud of President Obama’s strong record of promoting fairness and equality. These are values I share, that we all share, and the pride I take in the President’s recognition today comes not just at a deeply personal level, but also because he has done the right thing for so many people,” said Rep. Tammy Baldwin, the openly gay congresswoman running for Wisconsin’s open Senate seat.

The rest, however, either split with the president, were noncommittal, or didn’t say anything.

Democratic Candidates Mixed on Gay Marriage

Its not just Republicans........That's a fact. I wonder how many actually support the President?

I don't care what their personal preferences are, all that matters is what policies they push. The ones pushing new laws to ban or make illegal marriage equality are Republicans.

True. I don't care to point the finger, though, unless I point it equally to the Democrat's, that act just like Republicans. Being "silent", is just as bad, as making the policy's, for it.

And this is exactly what i speak about all the time....Isn't it strange how the Democratic Rep from Maryland wrote to the Baltimore Ravens organization to suspend one of it's players for supporting gay marriage? I mean Democrats/Liberals are suppose to be the ones that support all types of people. Nicki Minaj puts out one small line in a rap song saying she supports romney and now she gets all sorts of hate? LIBERALS ARE THE REASON CLASS WARFARE IS ALIVE. All the want to do is single out people, race, religion, etc. I mean this nation has NEVER been more segregated than now. Even during equal rights movement. I mean look at the state we are in now and how much hate is around...It's because ALL the Democrats/Liberals want to do is bring up hating, bashing, and class warfare. NOT how do we fix the most important things. Hey the economy still hasn't recovered and we need more jobs...Democrats-well almost 4 years ago things were going downhill and people lost jobs because of Bush. Wait wait, that's not the point, we need more jobs. Democrats-well if we give equal rights to aliens then it will create a better environment for everyone.....ok thats great, but how does that help the problem.

Its the same thing...lets focus on America for a change and not all this bashing #!

Well I guess the mighty GOP isn't so wholesome and holy after all. But the sheep that follow will never understand their hypocrisy.

You seem to be under the impression that to be Republican is to be a Christian holy-roller. My own sister is a Republican, pro gun, pro free-market, pro choice and no religion. well she did join the Mormons for a while but decided it wasn't for her after all.

Yes I would think so, and wasn't Joe Biden supposed to be in town too? And Occupy? And Code Pink were there too. And CNN.

LOL. Well, another report shows how the strip club business also booms more for the RNC conventions than the DNC ones. Almost a 2 to 1 ratio.

Republican National Convention - Stripper Business BOOMING in Tampa

The Road to the Republican Convention Is Always Lined with Strip Clubs

Also, in a parallel coincidence to Grindr, "sugardaddy.com" also got an RNC boost:

Sugar Daddy RNC? SeekingArrangement.com Claims Traffic Boost From Republican Convention

SeekingArrangement.com specializes in setting up rich, predominantly male clients (Sugar Daddies) with young, attractive men and women (Sugar Babies) for "companionship" -- the kind that includes lots of financial perks. According to Politico, the site claims to have seen a 25.9 percent increase in traffic coming from the Tampa area during the convention, despite the fact that their overall Florida traffic fell by 2.2 percent.

ETA: will have to wait a week to see the comparisons from the DNC convo.

Republicans have more money to spend because they aren't busy trying to bring down the rest of the country to a Socialist-Marxist 3rd World Country like the Democrats are doing. Nope, they want everyone to be rich so they can also spend money on hookers and whatever. Decadence knows no politics, only people with money to spend on it.

Bottom line is government should not have any finger in the marriage pie. The idea of needing to pay a fee (license) to the government to pledge your commitment to another human being for most is something on a spiritual level and that in itself should put it out of reach of them. It should have been dealt with from the beginning and then it would have never really been an issue.

Personally I do not believe in gay marriage. I supported that by my not marrying a gay person. Problem solved, my rights stop there. Too bad that is such a hard thing to understand for so many.

As for gay GOP people? I know several. A few of them do not agree with the gay marriage issue even. I'm not exactly sure if it's a way to keep form the commitment or what. There is a lot more to the GOP than gay marriage. And that will draw people no matter who they choose to sleep with. I'm not a Republican either though so maybe I'm not supposed to reply either. I used to be one but I feel the party left me a long time ago. Still register as one due to closed primaries in my state.
