Time and again these videos & stories pop-up about out-of-control LEA's going over-the-top, during arrests. I mean if TWO cops can't control a woman, whose crime was TALKING ON HERE CELLPHONE while driving, during an arrest, without resorting to highly dangerous take-to-ground methods, then heaven help us all!

It's not just the situation above, but DAILY a myriad of new laws are being invoked, that impinge on people's freedoms and CRIMINALIZE us, leading to more potential incidents where we are at risk from LEA violence

A startling video that is making its rounds shows two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers snatching a female driver and violently slamming her body into the ground — twice. The woman’s alleged offense? Talking on her cell phone while driving and, subsequently, resisting arrest. As a result of the trauma, Michelle Jordan, 34, sustained intensive bruising and other related blemishes and injuries.

The incident unfolded after the registered nurse and mother was apparently seen by authorities using her phone while operating her vehicle — an action that is banned by law in the State of California. Officers followed her car into the parking lot of a Del Taco restaurant in Tujunga, California, on August 21, where the arrest then took place. The entire incident, according to the Daily Mail, was captured on surveillance video.

Jordan, who is 5-feet 4-inches, apparently didn‘t listen to officers’ commands (or so say officials looking into the matter). After she got out of her vehicle, she purportedly was told to get back inside. When she refused, the male officers slammed Jordan onto the ground and then handcuffed her. But the bizarre incident didn’t end there. She was then slammed again into the ground.

Despite a failure to purportedly listen to officers’ commands, Police Chief Charlie Beck issued a statement earlier this week claiming that he has “serious concerns” about how the scenario was handled. He pledged to investigate the force used and to “hold…officers accountable for their actions.”

The woman’s lawyer, Sy Nazif, told The Los Angeles Times via e-mail that the officers should be prosecuted and that his client was a “defenseless woman” who was bashed into the ground without reason.

Until people start holding these type of 'officers' to account, and apply REAL PUNISHMENTS, then nothing is going to change; rather things will just continue to get worse.

The only time that I'd support any of the methods applied by these mongrels, is if they were under ATTACK by the person being apprehended. I can't see any other reason for their using force.

I typed her name into YouTube and got many things relating to Michael Jordan. Had to get a little specific. Not going for slam dunks, going for body slams.

Look there really is no excuse that I can see for slamming a woman down who is handcuffed. The initial take down didn't bug me much, the second did. That was out of line. The only way I can see that being acceptable is if she was biting the cops arm or something. There are a few instances where I can justify slamming someone cuffed on the ground, but generally think it's a huge no no. I would like to hear more about it before passing judgment, but I'm pretty sure this one isn't going to turn out well for the cops involved.

If it is found to be excessive force and the other LEO (I see you said LEA I assume 'A' stands for a naughty word, LOL) didn't report the incident I feel that he should have the same punishment as the offending body slammer.

Hmmm, well I did a search 'Shock Surveillance Video' and pulled nothing from the date of these being first posted.

Personally I find the ATS search feature, a little lacking.

Is it necessary to come across so condescending? You couldn't just politely say, 'Hey OP, good find but here's a few other threads.'

This smart mouth nonsense is the reason so many people start their threads with the incredibly annoying 'Mods if this in the wrong forum or already posted I did a search.'

I almost guarantee this OP is better than the others. He did a god job and was only trying to contribute. No need to belittle his efforts. Not being rude is your friend.

LEA=LEO

Yes, I typed what was on my brain at the time...

Anyway, looks like this has been posted previously but under a different heading than the original, that I used to search before posting.

Basically there's no excuse for the excessive force in my opinion, and these are not isolated incidents.

Maybe all cops should be taking a dose of RITILAN daily to help with their aggressive urges?

I thought the same thing when I saw my post. How DARE you call me a bropal! I'm thinking it sounds like brople in my head, rhymes with purple. OMG I invented a word that rhymes with purple! Accolades, NOW!

On a side note of this off topic post, Romney and Obama in blue face are starting to freak me out. What a bunch of bropals.
