the collapse is an ongoing process. a collapse entails lowered expectations. that has been tappered into our minds as the years roll on. if you're asking when anarchy breaks out?? maybe still many years left. we have it far too good to start risking our lives for a new system any time soon.

I was thinking of moving me an my wife down to Tennessee to build a house in the country on some land that I have, but I have this weird feeling that here in NYC where there are jobs and we have them, might be the only place to ride out the impending gloom that is about to fall upon our country.

They wont feel the effects as much in Europe since they have Socialism to keep people barely alive and well numbered. Out in the the US we will be left to our own accord. If you owe money (IRS, Banks, ect..) you will be asked to "pay up" somehow. Since there will be no jobs for you to continue making payments, they will find another way.

Should I continue with my plan to move to the woods after the new year? I will have enough to build a house but then I will be broke with no source of income. Half of me thinks I should just stay in NYC and continue to save money, watch the rest of the country get put into shackles over debt and joblessness.
Is it really that bad out there?
Or am I buying into this doom scenario too much?
My ultimate goal is however, to leave the city and start a self substantial life in the country. Is it too late, have I missed my boat?

And this looks like a extremely depressing election year. No one to vote for. Neither candidate deserves our vote or our respect.

What are we supposed to do?

Buy ammo and food or pay for the energy to go to the voting booth to choose from two bad decisions?

i don't think labor camps are probable. people will revolt before that happens. a debt jubilee will result before everyone who's in debt decides to go to one of these camps. the logistics of such a thing make it simply not possible.

throughout the epochs, "Collapses" have come and gone, and from each destruction of one way of life, another arises.

Collapses certainly are destined when the System/Society can no longer sustain itself; either due to unhealthy practices or the entropies of time... Shiva will have his Dance.

we do live in a most precarious age, however. and indeed, our Financial systems will Collapse. our Society will Collapse. our way of life will Collapse. the Engine of Modernity will Collapse. these are all unhealthy Systems - unsustainable and corrupted.

So it's something like 16 to 3 in favour of an imminent meltdown. Consensus levels of that order usually indicate that it's time to go against the herd.

If/when a collapse happen, it wont be pretty.

1. Sept 11th 2012 Germany decides to bail Greece out or not. That is HUGE.

2. Dec 2012 Federal Reserve Contract expires and MUST be renewed by Congress or have the whole system changed. That is also huge.

Doom is on the horizon, not too far off.

do you have any reputable sources or links? I'd like to read more into it.

Can't be bothered to search them up, but basically in 1913 when the Federal Reserve was established, it was only established for a 100 year charter.

Ever heard of the Civilian Conservation Corps? Basically labor camps. But the folks doing the labor signed up for it just to get $30 per month.

How do you define a collapse? What are the metrics? Everybody's are going to be a little different. Some things pretty much everyone can agree upon.

For someone living hand to mouth in a third world country, a steep dive in the stock market will mean little. For an investment banker on Wall Street it's the end of the world.

For some Americans, if Starbucks boarded up the Zombies cannot be to far behind. If I do not drink coffee and never went there, what does it mean to me?

The problem is being surrounded by mobs of people whose personal apocalypse each drives them to unhinged behavior. They want their double latte, laws and decorum be damned.

So I ask you: how do you define TEOTWAWKI? At that point we can then determine if it is here already or has any chance to materialize in the near future.

Even in a collapse I don't think there's anyway they could really use all that ammo on the American people.

They've bought enough for every man, women, and child. Doesn't make sense. Even if they wanted to kill us all, they wouldn't shoot us individually by hand. They could just nuke us and wait for the rest to starve.

Some alternative possible explanations.

1. It's meant for someone else, like the Chinese army. In a total collapse will other countries think we're weak and try to invade us?

2. It's for storage. Maybe they're gonna nuke us and hide in underground caverns? Perhaps they're just prepping themselves.

3. It's to buy up the supply and drive up prices so that when the riots start, we can't get our hands on any to use against the foreign troops they call in?

I think that's all I got right now.

No ones nuking anyone, the ETs will never allow that to happen. It's all talk.
The real plan is far more natural and TPTB know this and have been preparing themselves for years.
Stocking up on ammo is just another part of the preparation, they know that when the upcoming cataclysmic event happens there will be survivors that may try to breach their underground compounds. That's what the bullets are for.
Money wont matter much to anyone soon. Just google around millionaires building underground compounds, it's all the rage these days.

We will get to watch our demise unfold as we see confused reporters crumbing under 12.5 scale earthquakes on cnn all the while wondering where their studio execs have run off too. For once reporting the news as it "is" is for real. No script sent by the white house.
Of course this will be a sick and hilarious "reality tv show" to TPTB as they get to watch all of the worlds news outlets broadcasting the end of humanity via the safety of their bunker.

Fear mongering in always predicting a total collapse "any day" now.

Most likely it will never come unless something really bad happens that is natural in design. People have figured out for the most part how to juggle numbers and print money so it always "band-aids" the problem. Some say that that will not hold forever but I am beginning to disagree.

In the 1950's people built bomb shelters because Nuclear war was just around the corner.

In the 1960's people thought "the man" was going to take over their lives and did mass drugs & protested
(turns out they were right after all)

In the 1970's Dr. S. Dillon Ripley, secretary of the Smithsonian Institute, said that in 25 years, between 75 and 80 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.

In the 1980's There was the Leland Jensen & Hal Lindsey predictions of the end of the world

In the 90's we had Lee Jang Rim, Peter Ruckman & Benny Hinn predicting the end.
(And don't forget the Heavens Gate people)

2000's - Y2K, Elenin, 2012 prdictions, Nibiru, government take over, Iran will nuke everybody, Gulf oil spill will end ALL sea life, Global warming will kill us all, Economic collapse, Zombies...ect....ect..

Well how about this: The Mayan calendar predicts that the Illuminati, in collusion with the Reptilians, will bring down civilization as we know it through Obama. Who, of course, is a Manchurian Candidate from the MK Ultra project which was run out of the Vatican.
