i'm just trying to say that it's going to be impossible to fortell the coming of the end.

why?

well if you postulate that god and jesus as outlined by the bible exist:

god can do whatever, whenever, and wants to make sure that the end is a suprise. it states that no man will know ahead of time.

Unfortunately, recall that for god a 1000 years is as a day. "Near" could mean trillions of years for us, although I think "never" is the more accurate interpretation.

There was WW I, WW II, WW III is only a matter of time, men have fought wars since he has been upon the earth, do you really think he is going to stop now ?

The ones that shall not escape are all those that did not believe, those that mocked GOD's people and those that refused to repent and acknowledge GOD.

I didn't say humanity woulod still be around in a trillion years. Just because we all die doesn't mean Jesus is coming.

Unfortunately, no-one is handing them out - nor have they been for the past 2000 years or so. I bet those guys in the dark ages thought Jesus was just around the corner. So did those guys during the black plague. So did the guys during the reformation, and when Galileo showed up, and Darwin, ....yawn, is Jesus here yet?

Nope, not yet, and that was said by Christ himself "no one knows the hour except my Father in heaven". So you and the Bible agree.

as frightening as all of that imagery is, I have to admit to be drawn to it too. Does this mean that I have an evil center? i laugh at the thought, isnt that even worse!

Hm, the Book I go by says no one is good except God. That means we all have evils to deal with. I agree that laughing about it doesn't help as this serious problem we deal with, being a pervasive and self-destructive. But! Not exactly. The Bible merely leaves it in the immediate indefinite distant future. My position leaves his return as a known; never.

please be carefull with that. I believe it to be a misconception. I think it shouldn't be read like 1 day = 1000 years, so we can calculate, but instead it means something like "one day with God is better than a thousand years elsewhere" being with God for one day, would feel like you lived a thousand years. imagine...

many so called end time calculations are based upon this 1 day/1000 years formula. but that would suggest God gives us the possibility to calculate the end time. for sure this isn't possible. so this search would be in vain anyways.
