This move came after Francois Hollande urged the Syrian opposition
to form a provisional government,
pledging recognition. However a day earlier in a meeting in Germany the opposition
stated in was premature to form a new state.
"What is key is that the Syrian opposition unites and recognizes democracy, tolerance and pluralism," he said. "We support the establishment of a
credible alternative to the Assad regime."

NAM has been making headlines especially in
Israel where Mr. Netanyahu described the movement as a "stain on humanity." This comes after Ban Ki Moon accepted Iran's request to
attend the NAM summit

US and Israeli opposition.
