political books?

Does anybody know how you can go about becoming a published American Political Author? I would love to write a book or three about my experiences in politics like what people are talking about on here, or media bias or anything really. I know people say that I should start a blog, but I already have that! The next step is to write the books. I have various ideas for political books, fiction non-fiction. Documentaries, and non political stuff too.

So any practical advice besides for the obvious?

Just start writing. Once you have something tangible there are other things to do. My mother in law is an author and has a couple different types of books, none political though. I know we have disagreed on some of our views but if you want the avenues and links she uses I would freely discuss that stuff in pm's and such
