Tsunami alarm sounded for Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea.

The 7.9 earthquake happened off the Phillipines coast. No reports issued yet on possible damage in the area. Prayers and best wishes to all involved.

apologies for the outburst! there was another post of this earthquake right after yous as well making it a grand total of 5 posts on the same subject on the new topics page at the same time!!!

my rant wasn't directed at you personally,but i know everyone wants to be first on the scene with breaking news!
i posted a rant on this a few days ago,more directed at the mods,and to let people know to look first before they post.
but 5 threads on the same topic,with all the same info!(you were # 4!)
i'm sure your intentions were good,but at least look at the new topics page before you get all gung ho and start another thread thats been posted multiple times before.
then,you can add to that thread,and perhaps add some new insight to the situation!
again,sorry. nothing personal,but this kind of thing drives me nuts!!!!

Apology accepted. I looked up tsumani warning as it is not exactly the same thing and found nothing. I normally write my post in a word doc then copy and paste from there. I'm not the speediest at doing this.
