From my life experiences, peopel turn to acting like this when they don't have anything intelligent to say and /or have been beaten itellectually by another. I"m just saying you make yourself look like a fool. Being "tough" on the internet screams attention seeking. It also invalidates anything insightful you might be trying to say.

I don't agree with what he says about the UN. I think the concept and the organization has a long and respectable history of peacekeeping. The only thing off-hand that I can say I disagree with when it comes to the UN is the veto right that some countries have. So there's room for improvement, sure, but the organization is a lot better an option than another World War, for example.

And that's what UN was made to prevent - a third world war. Just because the Eastern Bloc has fallen and the Cold War is over doesn't mean there's no longer a risk for that.

In fact, I'm thinking in the near future, we're going to need UN more than ever, with all the up-and-coming superpowers that are making their appearance around the world.

The U.N is nothing but the tool by which they will implement global dictatorship, and they have a history of occupying nations under the guise of 'protecting' them. Check the rape, prostitution, human and drug trafficking statistics before and after the ass-holes deploy anywhere and then define 'peacekeeping' for me because I doubt you have any idea what the term is actually supposed to stand for.

well I think all of the NAM members want more influence for general assembly and limit the veto right. they do not want to ruin the international communities. they want that general assembly becomes the main part of UN and containing security council as well. and to remove veto right.

I, too, agree that any sovereign nation should be able to conduct internal affairs such as this...but, sadly, for a "greater good" they must be "told what to do." There was actually a time when I would say that even in regard to nukes, it was Iran's own business. But, people change, as do their outlook on life.

In the USA we all complain that we don't want the UN to interfere with our sovereignity, so why should we condone the UN infringing on anyone else's?
