Where did you get your info on the "dramatic weather change"? Didn't notice anything and I'm in the relative area of the OPs location. The weather was clearing last night and it's very sunny here today for a change.

The weather on the 28th was "tropical", the weather today is "alpine". The cool dry air moving in under the warm moist air creates an inversion. Last night we had a cold front come through. After it passes Snooki on the beach, it became a stationary front and hung out off shore for a few hours, making the inversion stable. Look for surface maps. The colder air lifted the warmer moist air and made a boundry layer. Perfect for echoing sounds.

Your video is full of other sound it's hard for me to tell what we are listening to. I started a similar thread just a couple of days ago would you mind going to my OP and clicking on the link. The loud noise at the beginning of the video does it sound similar to yours?

Back on topic.......I am glad someone else is hearing these noises, I thought I was one of the few crazy people that experienced them first hand......Mine woke my wife and I and our 3 dogs up in the middle of the night and lasted 30 minutes of INTENSE booms with clear skies!!

The ones we heard actually sounded like a huge machine sitting on top of the house slowly moving past.......I did a thread on it a while back......

That is like the sound that woke me twice in the early mornings and also woke my neighbour on another occation. I believe i described it as it sounded like an airplane was about to crash into my house. I believe I added it as a response to my own thread linked below or to someone elses, also some years ago.

Drucilla why are you on ATS???? All you do is complain... Are you going to ask for this thread to be deleted also? There have been several of these threads so odds are you have already submitted a complaint...

Unless you have something interesting to report why tear down what many others including myself find interesting and truthful....

As you can see from my other replies I have no alternate motives for asking other than that I was interested to hear your opinion on that - especially since you have heard unusual sounds in person. I am not sure why the sarcastic smilie over here, I wasn't implying that you should revert to my thread or that yours should take the direction mine has, it was simply a wish to compare.... If there are any similarities then they are worth investigating in my opinion.... I care very little for gathering a crowd I'm more interested in gathering ideas

So I'm sorry if my post was taken the wrong way - my question was genuine, with the amount of surrounding noise in your video from typing, lifting the camera etc it was hard for me to distinguish any sky sounds at the beginning at all.... hence the question.

well I hope you find an answer that satisfies your intellect as to what it was...

The subject appears to lack the maturity level required to realize that it is very annoying to other users when you choose to use ATS as a dumping ground for your personal baggage. Or they just don't care. Either way, they wander around taking a big dump on everyone's thread as a form of revenge against society for the bad day they had. Taking it out on random strangers on the internet who have done nothing to deserve being disrespected seems to be the most mature way they are capable of dealing with their issues. Unfortunately since it is not against the TnC to engage in such childish behavior, you poor humans will continue to be subjected to random outbursts until they grow up which may never happen.

Well, I was afraid of this... looks like we're screwed folks! This rude behavior will continue until she finds something better to do... Does anybody here know someone you really can't stand, someone you'd like to see suffer?
