heh i know the answer, my question was , why dont people think of that question, they just say oh well its the presidents kid, they should eat well, what everyone forgets, is the president and his families , are american citizens first(well supposed to be heh), just like the rest of us, everyone in the government should have same healthcare, same food, same taxes ect ect but they are all treated like royalty.

These lunches don't sound bad. And portion control is essential to being healthy. We eat extra large portions as Americans, cause we think eating till you pop is right. The sad thing is our kids are so used to eating junk and sugar they cant handle a decent meal. I mean really people are complaining that schools are feeding their kids healthier? Oh dear, lets just go buy crud and fill them up till they puke with it. An unhealthy lifestyle needs time to adjust to the new healthy items. So now Ms Obama is terrible for not shoving Little Debbie cakes and grease into their unhealthy butts? Evil Obamas and their SPINACH!

What you dont get is that SCHOOLS DO NOT HAVE TO CATER TO PARENTS.
Who should they cater too, the parents and nation are their employers, they are but employees, and they serve parents and those children.
Really? So whatever parents want, schools should provide?

Depends... do these said teachers want a job? It's the parents CHOICE for the kid to attend the school....
You have heard of PTA? Parent Teacher Conferences... right? Where parents can speak their concerns for their children's welfare at said schools...
Think about it like a business...
if your supply isn't meeting the demand you will soon be out of business...edit on 5-10-2012 by MikhailBakunin because: (no reason given)
Thousands of sixth graders who participated in a school-based health program were less obese by eighth grade than a group of similar children who did not, according to a new study done for the National Institutes of Health.

Does the government know what is best for your children more then you do? Progressives should also ask these hard questions to themselves.
