Hi, I'm also experiencing similar difficulties in this area.

Are you able to provide a reference or a link to confirmation from Microsoft that SRPs are broken in Windows 7.

Many Thanks.

This is like beating a dead horse all over again. Yes some of those right click features are broke as hell. The app blocker and bitlocker can make someone pull their hair out as it doesn't work like it should. Anyways the security policies override all and so trying to use the simple features doesn't really create/delete a real policy like it should. So we're left with doing it manually and you gotta get your shovel out and dig deep down into the security policies to get this crap to work right. It's a long process to to explain here so I'll just post a you-tube link. The person showing the tutorial is doing it on windows 2003 server, but it's basically the same concept.

The section you want to create the new policy on windows 7 is under gpedit | computer configuration | Windows Settings | Security Settings | Software Restrictions. You then right-click Software Restrictions and select -New Software Restrictions Policies-. That will now create the sub folders needed for editing and adding users/groups and the ability for you to define apps that have restrictions or not like in the you tube video. Good luck!
