'plain common sense' disenfranchises 10% of the voting electorate. Weather you like it or not, every American should have the right to walk into their voting booth and cast a vote. Anything beyond that gets in the way of their right to participate in their government.

"common sense" would be to leave it the way it is. Since there is more incidences of people winning the lotto twice, than there are of valid voter fraud.

When you have less than 2% of the population voting, what makes you think there needs to be any sort of law making voting more challenging? If anything, that shows you how few Americans are willing or able to participate in their government

Geez, where were you in 08 when the infamous ACORN voter fraud cases were going on? What's that you say...oh you were ACORN and you never saw any odd names like Micky Mouse...

The largest estimates from the ACORN scandle say around 3k-5k potential cases of voter fraud over the companies life span.. Ok. So Voter fraud exsists.. Does preventing 5k in fake votes out weight the potential hundreds of thousands of actual Americans trying to vote? You are trying to prevent fraud, of a few thousand.. at the cost of preventing the votes of others.. This creates a whole new problem, while supposedly fixing the other. Do you see?
