Three members of Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been jailed for two years after staging an anti-Vladimir Putin protest in a Moscow cathedral.

Judge Marina Syrova convicted the women of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred, saying they had "crudely undermined social order".

The women say the protest, in February, was directed at the Russian Orthodox Church leader's support for Mr Putin.

Alot of people are going to say bad on them for doing this in a church, but I say it sounds like the church had it coming:

Leaders of Russia's largets church endorsing Putin? Damn right they had it coming, and really jailed in glass boxes inside the courtroom? What do you guys think?

Unbelieveable.

As bad as things are getting here in the West, at least we arent were Russia is today. Im sure if Putin had his way, and he just might before long, he would drawn the Iron Curtains closed again.

I hope these girls will be ok, they dont deserve this.
