OP, have you seen this video www.youtube.com...? Doesn't refer to the Paralympics but does refer to the date of the closing ceremony, 9th September. Not sure if any other high-profile event is happening then but I'd suggest that either (a) someone is planning something or (b) wants some people to think they are planning something or (c) wants to distract inquisitive types from something planned for elsewhere - judging from what has already happened, that may be in a cinema somewhere.

Just a thought.

Just another thought, following on from my last post.

The time the clock counts down to is early in the afternoon whereas the closing ceremony is in the evening. Supposing for a moment that this did mean something - looking at where in the world it would be that time in the afternoon, while the closing ceremony was going on, that works out at the Western part of America. Could something be happening there?
